1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoon mccormick® oregano leaves
1 teaspoon mccormick® ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon mccormick® garlic powder
1 can of reduced sodium beef broth
1 can of diced tomatoes, undrained
2 tablespoon tomato paste
1 1/2 cup uncooked penne pasta
1 1/2 cup frozen leaf spinach, thawed
3/4 cup crumbled feta cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Cook ground beef and onion in large skillet on medium-high heat until beef is no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
  • Drain fat.
  • Add oregano, cinnamon and garlic powder; mix well.
  • Stir in broth, tomatoes and tomato paste.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Stir in pasta.
  • Reduce heat to medium; cover and cook 10 minutes or until pasta is nearly tender.
  • Stir in spinach and 1/2 cup of the feta cheese.
  • Cover.
  • Cook 5 minutes longer or until pasta is tender.
  • Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup feta cheese.
  • Cover.
  • Let stand 5 minutes.

1/2 cup pitted Greek olives, halved
2 tablespoons minced fresh basil, divided

Steps:

  • Cook tortellini according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the beef, zucchini and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain., Drain tortellini; add to skillet. Stir in the marinara sauce, water and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, cheese, olives and 1 tablespoon basil. Sprinkle with remaining basil.

1 package (19 ounces frozen cheese tortellini)
1 pound ground beef
1 medium zucchini (sliced)
1/2 red onion (chopped)
1 garlic clove (minced)
3 cups marinara sauce
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 medium tomatoes (chopped)
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/2 cup pitted Greek olives (halved)
2 tablespoons minced fresh basil (divided)

Steps:

  • Cook 19 oz tortellini in a saucepan according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, in a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat, cook 1 pound beef with 1 chopped onion and minced garlic clove until meat is no longer pink. Drain the excess fat if necessary.
  • Add cooked tortellini and sliced zucchini to the skillet with the meat. Stir in 3 cups of marinara sauce, 1/2 cup white wine, 1 tsp each oregano and dill, and salt and pepper to taste; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in 2 chopped tomatoes, ½ cup crumbled feta, 1/2 cup halved Greek olives and 1 tbsp of fresh basil.

½ pound dried elbow macaroni
1 pound lean ground beef
2 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
2 medium carrots, quartered lengthwise and sliced
1 large zucchini, quartered lengthwise and sliced
1 ½ tablespoons dried oregano leaves
salt and pepper
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup, plus
1 (10.75 ounce) can water
1 ounce crumbled feta cheese

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain, and set aside.
  • Brown ground beef with garlic in a large skillet over medium heat. Strain off fat, if necessary. When meat is lightly browned, add carrots and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in zucchini and oregano, and continue cooking another 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • When vegetables are tender, stir in tomato soup, water, and prepared elbow macaroni, and cook for another 5 to 10 minutes. Serve with crumbled feta cheese on top, if desired.

1 pound flank or sirloin steak
Slice steak thinly across the grain.
2 T vegetable oil
Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat; brown beef on both sides, remove from pan.
1 medium onion, sliced
1 garlic clove, minced
Saute onion and garlic in drippings until soft; drain off fat.
1 28 ounce can stewed tomatos
2 T lemon juice
1/4 tsp cumin
1/8 tsp cinnamon
Stir in next four ingredients, bring to boil. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
1 T cornstarch
1 T water
Dissolve cornstarch in water; stir into pan and cook until thickened. Stir in beef and heat through.
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
Serve over rice, sprinkle with cheese.
