Steps:
- Slice grapefruits in half and squeeze out as much juice as you can into a medium-sized pot. If you don't mind quite a bit of bitterness, throw the squeezed out peels into the pot as well. If doing that, add about another cup of water. Add the cinnamon, sliced ginger and water.
- Bring to a boil then turn down the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and strain to remove the grapefruit peels, if using, and ginger. Let cool to 95° F (35 °C) or lower and stir in the honey (this is to preserve the benefits from raw honey). You can also just add the concentrate to a mug, add water, which will cool down the tea concentrate, and then add your honey.
- Store this concentrate in the fridge and add about a 1/4 of the recipe to a large mug and top with hot water. Add more honey as needed and feel better soon!

GRAPEFRUIT TEA
This is a recipe from Body & Soul Magazine. My Mom made it for me when I wasn't feeling well. At first sip, I didn't care for it, but by the end of the glass I loved it! Others who have tried it have said the same, at first you wonder; but then it's great. The article said that red/pink grapefruits are high in lycopene and vitamins A and C. They also offer potassium and folate.

Steps:
- Pour grapefruit juice into a small saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a simmer. Simmer until juice is reduced to about 3/4 cup, 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer to a measuring cup to cool slightly; stir in grapefruit zest.
- Whisk sugar, egg yolks, and egg in a bowl until smooth. Whisk warm juice into egg mixture. Pour back into the saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture has thickened to the texture of warm pudding and is thick enough to coat your spoon, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Pour the curd through a mesh strainer into a clean bowl to remove zest and any bits of cooked egg. Add butter to the warm curd; stir until butter has melted and the curd is smooth. It will continue to thicken as it cools.

- FOR ALL RECIPES: Pre-heat oven to 400F (200C), and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the grapefruit in half. If you want to sturdy the grapefruit, slice the edge of the fruit a little so it's not so round anymore. Place them on the baking sheet.
- HONEY VANILLA CARDAMOM: Sprinkle with cardamom and salt, drizzle with honey and vanilla extract. Bake for 17 minutes.
- HONEY GINGER ROSEMARY: Chop ginger as finely as you want, sprinkle on top of the grapefruit along with some salt. Drizzle with honey and place a small piece of a rosemary sprig on top. You may want to add a aluminum foil on top to prevent burning, but I didn't find it necessary. Bake for 17 minutes. Remove rosemary before eating.

11 GRAPEFRUIT COCKTAILS YOU'LL FALL IN LOVE WITH
From thespruceeats.com
- The Paloma. The paloma is one of the best and, at the same time, most underrated grapefruit cocktails. The traditional drink recipe uses a grapefruit soda such as Jarritos Toronja or Squirt, which is why it is not often associated with the tart citrus fruit.
- Greyhound. Grapefruit cocktails cannot get any easier than the popular greyhound. Seriously, if you can mix a rum & coke, you've got this! This is one of the simplest mixed drink recipes you will find and it's extremely popular.
- Sea Breeze. The sea breeze is the drink where the greyhound meets the cape cod (aka vodka cranberry). It is one of those simple vodka-based 'trio' drinks that is nothing more than two juices served in a tall glass over ice.
- Hemingway Daiquiri. When we step into the world of rum, one grapefruit cocktail stands out from the rest. That is the one and only Hemingway daiquiri and, yes, it's said that Ernest Hemingway himself enjoyed this drink a time or two.
- Blue Bayou. If you're in the mood to fire up the blender and have some grapefruit and pineapple, you will want to blend up the blue bayou. It is a stunning frozen cocktail with a beautiful blue-green color and a great tropical flavor.
- Navy Grog. The navy grog has roots in the 1700s with British sailors though it was not until the drink was brought into the rum and fruit cocktail scene that it became legendary.
- Blushing Lady. This beautiful vodka martini shows the rich sweetness of pomegranate playing nicely against the tart grapefruit. The two contrasting flavors are given an equal share in the blushing lady.
- Grapefruit Shandy. This refreshing grapefruit shandy cocktail is a spin on a traditional beer-lemonade shandy. It's very easy to make with just four ingredients—grapefruit juice, beer, simple syrup, and a little water.
- New England Sour. Here's a fun take on the classic sour style of drinks. The tart grapefruit brings the sour, which is contrasted by the sweetness of maple syrup—the 'New England' connection.
- Danny Ocean. The Danny Ocean cocktail is a tequila lover's delight. This is a lowball drink served on the rocks and it's sort of a mashup of the paloma and the Hemingway daiquiri.
