A perfect salad a desert or snack for serving at a luncheon or picnic.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 teaspoon butter
3/4 cup walnuts
1/4 teaspoon salt (approx.)
4 ounce cream cheese*
4 ounce vanilla yogurt* (or single serving size)
1/3 cup brown sugar
6 cups seedless grapes (washed and dried)

Steps:

  • In a pan heat the butter over medium - medium high heat. Add the walnuts and salt, mix. Toast for 3-4 minutes stirring occasionally. Be careful not to burn. Usually when you can smell the nuts they are done. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Combine cream cheese and yogurt. Stir in brown sugar, then cooled walnuts. Add mixture to grapes (again, make sure grapes are dry).

Grape salad tossed in a sweet creamy cream cheese dressing and topped with chopped walnuts. The perfect easy fruit salad side dish for cookout, bbq and dinners.

1.5 lbs green grapes (halved)
1.5 lbs red grapes (halved)
2 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/3 cup sour cream
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup walnuts (chopped)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, whisk to combine cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until mixture is smooth.
  • Wash, pat dry and half green and red grapes. Then add them to the bowl of cream cheese mixture.
  • Gently toss with a spatula to combine so that grapes are evenly coated in dressing.
  • Top with walnuts. Serve and enjoy!

  • In a medium serving bowl, combine the grapes, walnuts, onion, green onion, radishes and raisins. Toss with balsamic vinaigrette dressing just before serving.

Sweet grapes, candied walnuts, crisp greens, and nutty cheese are combined to make one of our favorite salads.

SALAD INGREDIENTS:
8 cups baby spinach or spring mix greens
2 cups red grapes (sliced in half)
1/2 cup candied walnuts (see below)
1-2 ounces pecorino romano cheese (shaved into slivers)
1/4 cup Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette
CANDIED WALNUT INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 cups walnuts (roughly broken into small-ish pieces)

Steps:

  • TO MAKE THE SALAD:
  • Combine the greens, grapes, walnuts, and cheese in a large bowl. Drizzle lightly with dressing, and toss to combine. Serve immediately.
  • TO MAKE CANDIED WALNUTS:
  • In a heavy bottomed saucepan (not a non-stick variety), heat the water and sugar to boiling. When the sugar dissolves and the syrup reaches a boil, add the walnuts. Stir to coat and continue cooking over high heat until syrup is dissolved into a light brown liquid and coats the walnuts.
  • Once the syrup is dissolved, pour out the candied nuts onto a silicone mat or parchment lined baking sheet. Work quickly to separate the nuts, using a couple of forks. They will be VERY hot. (Try not to burn your fingertips!) Let them cool completely before storing. Enjoy!

8 ounces whipped cream cheese
8 ounces low-fat sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup sugar
4 lbs red grapes (washed and picked off stem)
1 tablespoon butter (for topping)
1 cup walnuts (for topping)
1/2 cup brown sugar (for topping)

Steps:

  • For best results, use a mixer to mix cream cheese, sour cream, vanilla extract, and sugar. You can mix by hand, too, but it won't be as smooth.
  • Fold grapes into creamy mixture.
  • In medium saucepan, melt butter. Add walnuts to lightly brown to taste.
  • Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Sprinkle topping over grapes.
