GRAPENUTS™ CUSTARD
My parents used to serve this recipe as a dessert at the restaurant they owned when I was a child.

Steps:
- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Beat the milk, sugar, salt, eggs, and vanilla together in a bowl; pour into a baking dish. Sprinkle the cereal over the mixture and dot with the butter pieces. Gently set the baking dish into a larger baking dish. Pour enough hot water into the larger dish to reach at least 1 inch up the side of the dish with the custard.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 1 hour. Sprinkle the nutmeg over the dish to serve.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
- Combine flour, brown sugar, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla extract; mix well. Pour mixture into prepared baking sheet and spread evenly with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven until browned and firm, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool patty in the baking sheet for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C).
- Break cooked patty into chunks and put through a meat grinder, using a coarse blade. Divide crumbs over two baking sheets.
- Bake in the oven until dry, stirring every 10 minutes, about 30 minutes. Allow crumbs to cool completely and store in an airtight container.

This was so good and smelled heavenly baking in the oven. I loved the nice crunch the grape nuts cereal gave to this dessert..We enjoyed it..and will be good with ice cream too... I know this will be good made with the other pie fillings too...yum!

- 1. Heat oven to 350^. Spray the bottom of an 8-inch square baking pan;set aside.
- 2. Combine the bisquick,salt, baking soda, brown sugar, grape nuts cereal and margarine..sprinkle in about 1/4 teaspoon of apple pie spice.. Mix well to combine..
- 3. Press 1/2 the mixture in the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Spread the pie filling evenly over the cereal mixture. Sprinkle with a little apple pie spice.
- 4. Evenly distribute the remaining crumb mixture over the apple filling. Sprinkle with apple pie spice. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool on wire rack-when cool drizzle with frosting if desired.

- Let stand until water is absorbed.

EASY LEMON PIE WITH GRAPE-NUTS CRUST RECIPE
This tasty pie is made with a homemade crust made from Grape-Nuts.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray glass pie pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
- Place cereal in food processor and pulse until it is fine. There will still be some nutty bits. Add thawed apple juice and pulse until combined. Use a spatula to scrape sides of food processor and ensure that all of the cereal is moistened.
- Place mixture in bottom of pie pan and pat out until the bottom is covered as well as half way up the sides. Bake for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, combine condensed milk, eggs, lemon juice and zest with whisk until well blended. Pour into prepared pie crust and bake for 15 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely and then refrigerate for a couple of hours. Best served cold.
- Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.

- In a medium bowl, combine eggs, sugar, and salt. Gradually add milk, mixing until thoroughly combined. Then, add vanilla and Grape-Nuts and stir until incorporated.
- Pour mixture into an 8x8-inch baking dish. Make a hot water bath by placing the baking dish in a large roasting pan filled with 2-inches of hot water. (You want water to come halfway up the outside of the custard dish.)
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. "Serve plain or with cream or cool whip."
