BUTTERSCOTCH HAYSTACK CANDY LIKE GRANDMA MADE



Butterscotch Haystack Candy Like Grandma Made image

We got to help Grandma make these at Christmas time every year.

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 pkg (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels
1 (6 1/2 oz.) can peanuts
1 (5 oz.) can chow mein noodles

Steps:

  • 1. Melt butterscotch morsels over medium heat. Grandma used a double boiler. You can use the microwave. Stir in peanuts and noodles. Spoon by tablespoons full onto wax paper. Use spoon to shape into haystacks and allow to cool.

5 ounces chow mein noodles
12 ounces white chocolate (or almond bark)
1 cup pecans

Steps:

  • Melt chocolate 2 minutes in the microwave.
  • Mix rest of ingredients into melted chocolate.
  • Drop by tablespoons onto waxed paper.
  • Let set until hard.
  • Store in an air-tight container.
