Steps:
- Brown beef and onion.
- Stir in chili powder; add kidney beans, tomatoes and water.
- Bring to a boil; reduce to simmer and cook covered for 1 1/2 hours.
- Fold in cooked macaroni and simmer for 15 minutes more.
- May be prepared ahead and refrigerated.
- Serves 10.

GRANDMA'S CHILI
This is my grandma's chili recipe. It's not hot, but very tasty. I've even served it to people who said they didn't like chili, but they all liked this dish.

- Season the beef with salt and pepper, and brown over medium-high heat in a 5 to 6 quart dutch oven or stew pot. Add the onion and green pepper, and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are slightly softened. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 to 60 minutes, stirring about every 15 minutes. Serve immediately or refrigerate for 24 hours for a more complex flavor. Top with shredded cheddar, crackers, or your favorite chili topping.

- InstructionsBrown your hamburger meat and drain the grease. Add the hamburger to your slow cooker.Add your chopped yellow onion and butter to your skillet and cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Whenever you're feeling sick, this will make you feel better! Trust me, you can even freeze it, this way you have it whenever you need it. Serve with egg noodles, if desired.

Steps:
- Clean chicken and remove some, but not all, fat. Place in a 2-quart soup pot with carrots, celery, tomatoes, and onion. Tie all dill sprigs into a bunch with kitchen string; add to the pot with salt and pepper. Add water until chicken is covered by 2 inches.
- Cook over medium-low heat until chicken is just about cooked through, about 3 hours. Remove chicken to a platter and allow to cool slightly, 15 to 20 minutes. Cut meat off the bones, place meat back into the pot, and discard the bones. Cook over medium-low heat until heated through, about 30 minutes longer. Remove dill before serving.

Steps:
- 1. saute chopped onion and celery in small amount of water until tender.
- 2. Add hamburger meat, salt and pepper generously. Cook til browned.
- 3. Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT spaghetti.
- 4. Bring 'soup' to a boil. Add spaghetti noodles by breaking them up into 1/3's. Should be about 4 inches in length. Let come to a second boil and cook until spaghetti noodles are tender. About 10 mins.
- 5. Serve with oyster crackers or saltines.
GRANDMA'S CHILI SOUP
This is not your average Chili. It's not a Texas style, or any other style for that matter. This is the first thing I learned to cook and was taught by my Grandma when I was 11. It is my most favorite thing to eat and I hope you enjoy it too!

- 1. Cook noodles in well salted water- just shy of al dente. Noodles will cook longer in the soup.
- 2. Saute oinions until almost transulucent. Add hamburger and brown. Drain well.
- 3. While hamburger is browning and noodles are cooking- pour tomatoa juice, chili beans, and seasonings(including butter) into a large pot.
- 4. Add the hamburger and noodles to the pot and cook for 15-30 minutes.
- 5. Spoon into bowls and top with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, more chili powder, crackers, and/or jalepenos- What ever you like! My family likes to put Miracle Whip on crackers and sprinkle chili powder on them and eat it with them.

- Cook and stir ground beef, onion, garlic, and bell pepper in large dutch oven or stew pot set over medium-high heat until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat. Stir in remaining ingredients except beans and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans; heat through. Serve immediately or refrigerate for 24 hours to allow the flavors to develop more. Serve with cornbread and bread -n- butter pickles, or top with your favorite chili toppings. Makes 4 servings.

- Heat a large stockpot on medium-high heat and melt the butter. Add the ground beef and use a wooden spoon to break it up. Allow the meat to brown completely. Drain off some of the grease if there is a lot.
- Add the onion and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the jalapeno and sauté for 3 minutes. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add the celery and bell pepper and sauté for 1 minute, or until just slightly softened. Add the tomato paste, chili powder, and cumin, and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, and broth. Cover the pot and turn the heat up to high. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer. Simmer for 20 minutes, or until the liquid has thickened and the flavor of the raw tomato has cooked off. Add the sea salt to taste.
- Add the kidney beans and simmer for 10 more minutes. Serve with sour cream or Greek yogurt, cheddar cheese, avocado, and tortilla chips for topping.
