Whether you choose plain, cherry, or lavender flavored, this moon milk will help you unwind and drift off to dreamland.

Steps:
- Warm small saucepan over medium heat. Add all ingredients for preferred moon milk flavor to warmed saucepan and whisk until ingredients are well-blended. Let mixture simmer 5 minutes.
- Fit fine mesh sieve or strainer over serving mug. Carefully pour warmed moon milk into sieve, straining out any unincorporated ingredients. Discard any sediment left in sieve.
- Whisk moon milk in mug before serving to be sure spices are fully incorporated. Serve immediately.

MOON MILK RECIPE
This is my basic moon milk recipe. It's simple, creamy, delicious, and can easily be adapted to your favorite flavors. See the article above for golden milk, blue moon, and chai versions.

- Add milk to a small saucepan. Sprinkle ashwagandha powder somewhat evenly over the surface (this helps prevent clumping when you whisk). Add vanilla and loose herbs (if using) and whisk until well combined. If you're using a tea bag, add it to the pot after you've whisked everything else together.
- Heat pan to a simmer. As soon as it starts simmering, remove it from heat and cover the pan with a lid. Allow to steep for 5-10 minutes.
- Once the moon milk is done steeping, remove the tea bag or strain the liquid into a mug. I love this type of stainless steel tea strainer that allows you to pour everything into your cup and then just lift out the loose herbs.
- Add sweetener to taste. Sip and - if desired - stir in a teaspoon or two of ghee or coconut oil for additional creaminess.
- Optional step: Froth with a milk frother and/or garnish with organic, food-grade calendula or rose petals if desired.

- Simmer milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Then whisk in turmeric, cinnamon, ashwagandha, ginger, and cardamom, and nutmeg; seasoning with black pepper.
- Whisk vigorously so as to avoid any lumps and clumps.
- Next, add the coconut oil, reducing the heat to low, and then continuing to cook until warm; about 5-10 minutes, because the longer you go, the stronger the medicine is.
- Then remove from the heat and allow it to cool.
- Stir in the honey. Don't cook the honey because honey that is cooked loses all its healing goodness.
- Then pour into a mug, drinking it warm, and then go to bed and allow yourself to be shepherded into Dreamland.

- Using a milk frother, warm-up and froth the oat milk. If you don't have a frother, just bring the oat milk to a gentle boil in a small pan and set aside. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Turn off the heat, then add chamomile and let steep for 3-5 minutes. Discard the chamomile. Now stir in the turmeric, ginger and cinnamon. Add the agave syrup if using and stir. Divide the spiced mixture into two teacups and fill them halfway. Add the frothed oat milk on top. Serve immediately and enjoy.
