GOLDEN GLORY PICNIC CAKE

This is the easiest cake ever and it looks like you have spent a lot of time on it!

Ingredients

One pkg yellow cake mix prepared according to pkg instructions in 9 x 13" pan
29 oz peach slices, well drained
1 c light brown sugar
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 c slivered almonds
1/4 c melted butter or margarine
1/2 c heavy cream

Steps:

1. Bake cake according to package instructions. When done remove from oven and quickly arrnage peackes over the top of the cake.
2. Sprinkle with sugar, nutmeg and nuts. Pour melted butter over top, then pour cream on top of that.
3. Return to over for 10 minutes until topping is lightly brown. Serve when cooled. EXCELLENT !

This is a simple cocktail originally from the Country Club Casino in Tasmania. A real "girly" drink that's a vibrant red colour when made. Gotta love the "girly" drinks!

15 ml strawberry liqueur
30 ml apple juice
60 ml orange juice
ice

Steps:

Shake all ingredients and strain over ice.
