Classic Daiquiri image

Nothing like the ubiquitous frozen drinks that bear the same name, this classic cocktail is light, refreshing, and the perfect easy cocktail to while away the summer hours.

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 ounces light rum
1 ounce plus one teaspoon fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup

Steps:

  • In cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine rum, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously, then strain into cocktail glass.

6 fresh raspberries
1 packed tablespoon dark brown sugar
Ice cubes
2 ounces golden rum
Juice of 1/2 lime (about 1 tablespoon)

Steps:

  • Muddle raspberries with sugar in a rocks glass. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the rum and lime juice, shake until chilled. (In general, the drink is ready by the time the shaker mists up.) Pour drink with some ice over the berries in the glass.
