TORTANG GINILING RECIPE

Number Of Ingredients 11

3/4 lb. ground pork or beef
6 pieces raw eggs
1 medium-sized onion (diced)
2 medium sized tomatoes (diced)
4 cloves garlic (chopped)
1 small green bell pepper (minced)
1 small red bell pepper (minced)
1/2 cup frozen green peas
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons cooking oil

Steps:

  • Heat a frying pan or wok and pour-in 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • When the oil is hot enough, sauté the onion, garlic, and tomato.
  • Add the ground meat and cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Put-in the bell peppers and green peas. Cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add salt and pepper then stir to distribute. Transfer to a large bowl. Let it cool down.
  • When the cooked ground meat reaches room temperature, beat the eggs and pour into the bowl same bowl. Stir to distribute all the ingredients.
  • Heat a clean non-stick pan. Add the remaining cooking oil.
  • Scoop 1/3 of the egg and pork mixture to the pan.
  • Cook each side for 3 minutes or until you see that the eggs are fully cooked. Avoid overcooking the eggs. Do the same step until the mixture is consumed.
  • Turn off the heat and transfer to a serving plate.
  • Serve with banana ketchup. Share and enjoy!

This dish is one of my favorites to eat. It's a comfort food for me, and I love it. This is my own personal way of making this. It's pretty easy to make and does not take long all. This dish is a Philippine dish, and it is usually eaten with white rice. Contrary to the picture, you will not add peas.

1 tablespoon oil, or as needed
1 clove garlic, minced
2 pounds ground beef
1 cup water, or as needed
ground black pepper to taste
6 tablespoons soy sauce, divided
2 medium red potatoes
10 baby carrots, or more to taste, cubed
½ cup raisins, or more to taste
2 (6.5 ounce) cans tomato sauce with salt (such as Contadina®)
½ orange bell pepper, diced
4 tablespoons white sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until light golden brown, about 1 minute. Add beef and 1/2 cup water; cook and stir until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Season with black pepper and add more water as needed; do not let beef dry out.
  • Add 3 tablespoons soy sauce, potatoes, and carrots to the saucepan with the beef. Add more water as needed to prevent drying out. Cook 4 minutes; add raisins. Cook 2 to 3 minutes more, adding water as needed to make sure beef does not dry out.
  • Add 1 can of sauce to the saucepan with the beef mixture. Fill that can with water, stir to remove excess sauce, and pour water into saucepan. Add 1/2 of the remaining can of sauce to the saucepan; stir to combine. Add more water as needed to create a sauce-like but not soupy consistency.
  • Add bell pepper, remaining 3 tablespoons soy sauce, and sugar. Cook until all vegetables are soft, about 3 to 5 minutes more, stirring occasionally and adding water as needed to be sure the sauce does not dry out.

Giniling Baboy with quail eggs is easy to make for family dinners as well as special occasions. This Filipino ground pork stew is hearty, tasty, and delicious with steamed rice.

1 tablespoon canola oil
1 onion, peeled and chopped
2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
1 pound ground pork
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup banana ketchup
1 cup water
1 large potato, peeled and cubed
1 large carrot, peeled and cubed
12 pieces quail eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
1 cup frozen sweet peas, thawed
1/4 cup raisins
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • In a wide pan over medium heat, heat oil. Add onions and garlic and cook until softened.
  • Add ground pork and cook, breaking to pieces with the back of a spoon, for about 3 to 5 minutes, or until no longer pink.
  • Add fish sauce and continue to cook for about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Add tomato sauce, banana ketchup, and water, stirring to combine. Bring to a boil. Lower heat, cover, and continue to simmer until meat is tender and fully cooked.
  • Add potatoes and carrots and cook until tender.
  • Add quail eggs, green peas, and raisins and continue to cook until completely heated through and sauce is reduced.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Easy and simple ground pork recipe

1 tbsp cooking oil
1 medium onion (chopped)
4 cloves garlic (chopped)
1 lb ground pork
1/2 tsp ground white pepper
1 tsp fish sauce
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup water
1 large potato (cut into small cubes)
1 large carrot (cut into small cubes)
2 tbsp raisins
salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
1 small green bell pepper (cut into small cubes)
1 small red bell pepper (cut into small cubes)

Steps:

  • In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic until aromatic for about a minute.
  • Add ground pork and cook until lightly browned for about 5 minutes. Drain any excess oil. Season with ground pepper and fish sauce. Mix well.
  • Add tomato sauce and tomato paste. Stir well and cook for a minute.
  • Pour-in water and stir. Bring into a quick boil then reduce to low heat. Simmer for about 10 minutes or until meat is fully cooked.
  • Add potato, carrots and raisins. Stir and continue to simmer until tender for about 3 minutes. Season with salt as needed and add sugar. Mix well.
  • Add bell peppers and stir well. Cook for additional 2 minutes. Transfer in a serving dish and serve while hot with steamed rice. Enjoy!

1 tablespoon oil
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 medium onion (diced)
3-5 tablespoon tomato sauce
1 -2 tablespoon tomato paste
500 grams ground pork
1 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon calamansi juice (or lime juice)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup butter
1 medium carrot
1 medium potato
1 medium red bell pepper
1/2 - 1 cup grated cheese
1 cup green peas
6 pieces hard-boiled eggs

Steps:

  • Saute garlic and onion in a pan over medium heat until limp and aromatic. Add the tomato sauce and tomato paste. Cook until the oil starts to separate from the sauce.
  • Add the ground pork and cook until meat is lightly brown. Add water and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce, calamansi juice, salt, and pepper. Cook for 10 minutes. Add butter and cover pan with lid. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add carrots, potatoes, and bell pepper. Cover the pan with lid and simmer for 5 more minutes or until vegetables are cooked.
  • Add grated cheese and mix until completely melted. Add green peas and cook for another minute then put in hard-boiled eggs and mix.
  • Transfer to a deep serving dish and serve with rice.

2 pounds ground pork
1 tablespoon fish sauce
3 large Roma tomatoes, chopped
1 1/2 cups water
2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 large carrots, peeled and cubed
1/2 green bell pepper, seeded and cubed
1/2 red bell pepper, seeded and cubed
1/2 cup raisins
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • In a pan over medium heat, heat oil.
  • Add onions and garlic and cook until softened.
  • Add ground pork and cook, breaking into pieces with the back of a spoon, until lightly browned. Drain any excess grease.
  • Add fish sauce and continue to cook for about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes and cook, mashing with the back of a spoon, until softened and release juices.
  • Add water and bring to a boil. Lower heat, cover and continue to simmer until meat is tender and fully cooked. Add more water in 1/2 cup increments as necessary to maintain 1 cup of liquid.
  • Add potatoes, carrots, and raisins and cook until liquid is mostly reduced, vegetables are tender, and raisins are softened.
  • Add bell peppers and cook until tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
