GF/DF Onion Soup Mix (Liptons Onion Soup Mix Copy Cat) image

In order to make my mom's spinach casserole and be gluten and dairy free, I needed to come up with a substitute for Lipton's onion soup mix. Here is my version. About 1/4 cup equals a single envelope.

1 cup onion powder
1/2 cup granulated garlic
1/2 cup dried onion flakes
1/2 cup rice flour
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon pepper
1 tablespoon parsley flakes

Steps:

  • Combine onion powder, garlic powder, onion flakes, rice flour, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  • Mix thoroughly and store in airtight container.

  • To make onion dip: Mix 5 tablespoons with one pint of sour cream.
