GERMAN OVEN PANCAKE
A hot and puffy golden pancake that only requires 5 minutes of prep! This classic breakfast is always a huge hit at our house!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a medium sized bowl whisk the eggs, milk, 2 Tablespoons melted butter, salt and sugar. Add the flour and stir until incorporated being careful not to overmix.
- Add 1 tablespoon melted butter to the bottom of a 9 or 11 inch cast iron skillet. Pour the batter into a skillet and bake for 12-18 minutes or just until the edges start to brown. Top with desired toppings.

- Cut sausage into 3 pieces, then cut each piece lengthwise in half. Cook in large nonstick skillet on medium heat 5 to 7 min. or until evenly browned, turning occasionally. Remove from skillet; cover to keep warm.
- Melt butter in skillet. Add onions; cook 3 min. or until tender, stirring frequently. Stir in mustard. Add sauerkraut; mix lightly. Cook 5 min., stirring occasionally.
- Top with sausage; cover. Cook 5 min. or until heated through.

- 1. Melt butter in skillet, layer cabbage, uncooked rice, onion, raw crumbled hamburger, salt and pepper, then tomatoes and minced garlic. Cover with lid and simmer 25-40 minutes until rice, cabbage and burger are done. Do not stir or lift lid until done.
HONEYMOON GERMAN SKILLET DINNER
This is a great all in one skillet dinner. My best friend prepared this for me on the first day home from her honeymoon. It was the first time I ate dinner with them after they married. I eat it with fond memories all the time. It is a regular in our home. Even if you dont like sauerkraut, you will like this meal

- Take a dutch oven or large skillet, must have lid. Melt butter in bottom on med heat. Add sauerkraut and spread to cover, add chopped onion on top of this layer, then sprinkle the rice on top of this, crumble raw hamburger over the top of this, salt and pepper. Then according to your taste pour 2 to 3 cans of tomato sauce over this. Important.do not stir. Cover with lid.
- Bring to a boil and turn down to nice slow simmer. Simmer for 25 minutes. Make sure it is simmering slow enough not to burn the bottom.
- Dinner is done, serve with hot rolls and salad.

- Gather all your ingredients so that you have everything close at hand on the counter or table. Prepare your ingredients. With a Chef's knife on a large cutting board, coarsely chop the yellow onion. Mince the clove of garlic. Place in a prep bowl.Chop the cabbage and peel and slice the carrots. Place in a bowl and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef on medium-low heat. I like to use a lean burger at least 80/20. Add in chopped onion and minced garlic. Stir and cook until tender.
- Add chopped cabbage, canned diced tomatoes, and sliced carrots. Pour in water and stir to combine. Cover and allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Season with red wine vinegar, dried basil and parsley. Sprinkle with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Lower heat and simmer for another 10-15 minutes. This recipe will serve 4-6 people.
GYPSY SCHNITZEL - EASY GERMAN SKILLET DINNER | ALL THAT'S JAS

- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large cast-iron or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add four schnitzel and sear them for about 5 minutes per side (see recipe tips). Remove the schnitzel to a plate and season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the remaining two tablespoons of oil into the same skillet. Add sliced onion, three peppers cut in strips, two minced garlic cloves, 1/2 teaspoon oregano, and a teaspoon of chili powder. Sauté until the vegetables start to soften, about 8-10 minutes, stirring often.
- Deglaze the skillet with 1/2 cup of vegetable broth and one cup of cream. Stir in 10 oz. of diced tomatoes, a few twigs of fresh thyme if using, and seared cutlets; bring everything to a boil.
- Lower the heat and simmer, covered, for 30-45 minutes (depending on the schnitzel thickness). Sprinkle with 4 oz. shredded Gouda cheese and turn the heat off. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if you wish.
