- Cook pasta according to package directions. Salt the water so you don't have bland pasta. I add about 1 teaspoon salt into the boiling water with the pasta.
- In a sauce pan, over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the garlic and cook and stir for 30 seconds. Add the flour and stir with a whisk for 30 seconds. It will be a thick paste. That's ok.
- While whisking, slowly add in the chicken broth, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook for several minutes until mixture has thickened. Careful not to let this boil and burn. Lower the heat if needed. You don't have to stir constantly, but you should stir very often.
- Once sauce is thickened, take off the heat and add in the dried parsley and shredded parmesan cheese. Let melt and then stir together to combine.

- Measure out all ingredients in advance; the cooking process happens fast! If serving with pasta, cook 8 ounces pasta while you make the sauce.
- In a small or medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the grated garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
- Add the flour and whisk constantly for 1 minute to 90 seconds, until bubbly and golden. Do not overcook it: the flour can turn brown within a few seconds. Keep an eye on it!
- Add a splash of milk and whisk it in: the sauce will instantly turn chunky. Constantly whisking, continue to add splashes of milk and whisk them in until the entire quantity is incorporated and the sauce is smooth.
HOW TO MAKE GARLIC PARMESAN CHICKEN PASTA : 10 STEPS ...
From instructables.com
- First, lace your 2 pounds of chicken breasts that are skinless, at the bottom of the crockpot. Pour your 12oz bottle of garlic parmesan sauce into the crockpot covering the chicken, you can use any brand you want but I used the Great Value brand.
- Second, measure out 1 cup of milk in a measuring cup. Pour the 1 cup of milk into the garlic parmesan bottle. Shut the lid on the bottle and shake the milk until all the extra sauce from inside the bottle is gone.
- Third, open your 8oz of cream cheese and put it onto a plate or a cutting board. Cut the cream cheese into blocks of whatever size you would like to cut them into.
- Fourth , rinse and dry out the measuring cup because you will then need to measure out 4oz of parmesan cheese .
- Immediately following, you will add the 4oz of parmesan cheese into the crockpot so it can start melting on the chicken and cooking. Stir everything together and make sure the chicken is fully and evenly covered so the chicken can start cooking.
- In the meantime, you will let the chicken cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 2-3 hours and stir the combination every so often. Make sure you put the lid on the crockpot.
- After a few hours, you will grab two forks and start shredding the chicken while it is in the crockpot. Start pulling the chicken apart from each other and shredding it as much as you would like.
- Meanwhile, put water into a pot and let the water start boiling so you can cook your noodles. You may add a pinch of salt into the water so it can boil faster.
- Eventually , your noodles will be cooked and you can tell they are done by taking one out of the water and trying it, if the noodle is soft, they are done.
- Last but not least, let the noodles sit in the crockpot for at least 10 minutes so the noodles can soak up some of the sauce and cook a little more if needed .
