- Place green beans in a pot and cover with water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until beans start to soften, about 10 minutes. Drain water, leaving beans in the pot.
- Place bacon strips on a microwave-safe plate and cook in the microwave until crisp, about 2 minutes. Cool and crumble bacon.
- Stir butter and bacon into beans in the pot and return to medium heat; cook and stir until butter melts, 2 to 3 minutes. Add garlic; cook and stir until fragrant, 3 to 4 minutes. Top with lemon zest and stir.

- 1. Place a pot of water on stove and bring to a boil. Add about 1 tsp salt to the water.
- 2. Snap bean ends and cut either in half or 2 inch pieces.
- 3. Once water is boiling, add the beans and cook no longer than 3 minutes, you want them to be crisp tender. Drain and rinse with cold water.
- 4. Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and pepper flakes. Stir frequently and saute for roughly 2 minutes.
- 5. Add the beans and toss to coat with garlic. Salt and pepper and saute just long enough to heat through. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and almond...Give them a squeeze of lemon, stir and serve immediately.
- 6. Enjoy!
