Ingredients

1 cup halved walnuts
6 ounces chocolate chips
6 ounces butterscotch chips
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
candied cherry

Steps:

Line bottom of a 9" pie pan with a 12" square of aluminum foil.
Place a cup in center of pan.
Place walnut halves around cup, forming a 2" wide ring. Set aside.
Combine chocolate, butterscotch and condensed milk in a microwave bowl and zap for 3 minutes at High.
Remove from microwave and beat with spoon until glossy. Add vanilla and chopped walnuts. Chill about 1 hour.
Spoon mixture in mounds over walnut halves; remove cup.
Decorate with candied cherries.
Cut in pieces for serving.

I first used this recipe in 1968, then lost it. I called Nestle Long Distance(before 800 #)& waited until they found the recipe, then dictated it to me over the phone. That long distance bill was not pretty!! The recipe is.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 (14 ounce) can condensed milk
6 ounces semisweet chocolate morsels
6 ounces butterscotch chips
1 cup walnuts, chopped

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix all ingredients in large bowl.
Pat into 9 inch square pan, either greased wiith butter or sprayed with Butter Flavored Cooking Spray.
Bake@ 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-35 minutes.
Cool for at least one hour before cutting into 1 inch squares.
