Steps:
- Place the vodka bottle into a fully opened half-gallon cardboard milk or juice carton.
- Insert flowers or thinly sliced fruit (we used holly, cranberry, lime slices, red roses, and white pine branches) around bottle, filling one-third of the carton.
- Pour water into container, just covering fruit and flowers.
- Place upright in the freezer.
- When completely frozen, add another layer of fruit and very cold water, and freeze.
- Repeat steps 2 through 5, filling and freezing a third time, so that fruit and flowers do not float to the top, until water reaches bottle neck.
- Remove from freezer just before serving; cut away milk carton with a utility knife.

Steps:
- In a shallow freezer safe pan mix the lemonade concentrate, vodka, water and lemon zest. Freeze mixture overnight or about eight hours. When ready to serve, remove from freezer and fork the mixture into glasses. By using a fork you can break up the frozen mixture so that you will be able to drink the cocktail and it won't be too frozen. Add a slice of lemon to each glass to decorate.

- Fill a pan with the red cabbage (or butterfly pea), sugar, rosemary and water. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute.
- Drain and collect the colored cooking liquid in a metal bowl or pan. Immediately put this in the freezer and stir every 30 minutes. Red cabbage and butterfly pea are pH indicators. You can make red cabbage juice blue by adding a pinch of baking soda. Depending on the temperature of your freezer, your blue/purple slush will be ready in 3-5 hours. You can also use an ice cream maker, or thicken the cooking liquid and toss with ice cubes in a blender.
- Pour 40 milliliters (1.35 fluid oz) of vodka into 4 chilled cocktail glasses. Fill the glasses with the blue/purple slush. For the color spectacle, squeeze half a lemon over each frozen cocktail. Red cabbage and butterfly pea are pH indicators. It is not magic the frozen vodka drink turns pink when an acid is added; it's science!
