A very good summer salad or dessert.Easy enough for your kids to get some time working in the kitchen.

Ingredients

1 (20 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (8 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup crushed walnuts (optional)

Steps:

Mix all of the ingredients together and chill overnight.
Enjoy!
Cooking time refers to chill time.

A good friend gave me this recipe and I converted it for the slow cooker. A great dessert for Sunday afternoon. Serve with ice cream on top.

Ingredients

1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 (18 ounce) package yellow cake mix
½ cup salted butter, melted
½ cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

Place cherry pie filling in the bottom of a slow cooker. Place crushed pineapple on top.
Mix cake mix and butter together in a bowl. Spread evenly over cherry and pineapple. Sprinkle with walnuts.
Cover and cook on High for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or on Low for 3 to 4 hours. Spoon into serving dishes and serve warm.

Ingredients

1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk
1 large can pineapple chunks, drained
2 - 8 oz tubs, cool whip
1 can(s) cherry pie filling
mandarin oranges can also be used and nuts if preferred

Steps:

1. Drain pineapple. In a large bowl add the ingredients, stir well till everything is blended evenly. Spread into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Place in freezer overnight. Take out of the freezer about 10 minutes before ready to serve. Cut into squares and enjoy!
