FRIED CABBAGE (PRUZUNA KAPUSTA)



Fried Cabbage (Pruzuna Kapusta) image

My grandmother used lard or Crisco to brown this, but I use a littel oil or margarine. I like the taste better and it is healthier.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 large cabbage, shredded
water
vinegar
olive oil
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Fill pot with shrdded cabbage (pack in).
  • cover with water and boil down until reduced.
  • Drain off water.
  • pour on vinegar generously and toss.
  • Drain off vinegar.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste and enough olive oil or margarine to brown.
  • Don't stir too much.
