This is a classic and easy pina colada that will transport you immediately to a tropical place. Close your eyes and taste the beach, sun, and palm trees!

Steps:
- Combine dark rum, light rum, pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and heavy cream in a cocktail shaker. Add about 1/2 cup crushed ice and shake vigorously about 15 times.
- Fill a chilled cocktail glass with about 1/2 cup crushed ice. Strain pina colada into the glass. Garnish with pineapple wedge and cherry.

FRESH PINA COLADAS
This shaken version of the popular Puerto Rican cocktail uses fresh coconut milk along with pineapple juice and spiced rum for a simple, refreshing summer drink.

- Remove the flesh from 1 brown coconut, reserving the water (see Cook's Note). Peel off the skin and cut the flesh into small pieces. Transfer to a blender and add the reserved coconut water; puree until almost smooth. Bring the coconut mixture and 1 1/2 cups water to a boil in a saucepan, then remove from the heat and let stand 30 minutes; strain through a fine-mesh sieve and chill. For each drink, shake 1/4 cup of the mixture with 1/3 cup pineapple juice and 2 tablespoons spiced rum in a shaker with ice. Strain into an ice-filled glass.
PINA COLADA
Steps:
- Put the ice, frozen pineapple, juice, coconut cream, and the white and dark rums into a blender. Blend until smooth and frosty. Pour the drink into 2 glasses and garnish the rim with pineapple slices.
PIñA COLADA IN A PINEAPPLE RECIPE BY TASTY

Steps:
- Using a pineapple corer, core the pineapple and slice the pineapple into chunks.
- Place the pineapple chunks flat on a baking sheet and freeze solid, about 2 hours.
- In a blender, add the frozen pineapple, coconut cream, coconut milk, white rum, ice, and lime juice.
- Place the blender back in the freezer for 20 minutes or until thickened.
- Blend one more time until fully incorporated.
- Pour piña colada back into the pineapple.
- Top with a maraschino cherry.
- Enjoy!

FRESH PINA COLADA ~ CASSIES
Doing some celebrating today, this is what a few of my friends and I came up with...I wanted to use up some fresh pineapple, so threw that in as well as the pineapple juice...we all loved it...try it on your friends sometime...add more coconut if you prefer, we enjoyed tasting the fresh pineapple in this one... Enjoy!
