CRANBERRY APPLE OATMEAL
I made this one morning in an effort to use up leftover cranberries from Thanksgiving. It's filling, healthy, and delicious! If you generally make oatmeal with milk instead of water, don't! The acid in the cranberries will make the milk separate. I tried it. It will still taste okay, but it won't look very pretty.

FRANKENBERRY OATMEAL
Remember Frankenberry cereal from when we were kids? (YES, I'm talking to all you kids of the 80's and very early 90's!) Seeing as how I still live under a rock, I don't know if this cereal is made anymore since I seldom buy breakfast cereals since Freshman Year of College Take 3. But this is the perfect breakfast cereal: you're all grown up, but you're still a kid who wants to say "Screw it, gimme the sugar."

HOW TO MAKE OATMEAL TASTE GOOD: 10 ... - THE SOULFULL PROJECT
From thesoulfullproject.com
- Kick Up The Liquid Flavor. Water and milk are both ideal for cooking oatmeal, but for a unique spin on the process, try other liquids as your base. We’ve had great success with alternatives such as
- Tweak The Texture. Runny oatmeal is very uninspiring as a meal. Fortunately, you don’t have to settle for watery gruel at breakfast! Modify your liquid-to-oats ratio for a heartier, more filling final product.
- Try A Toasty Treat. Need a unique way to flavor your oatmeal without adding other ingredients? Try toasting your oats before cooking. Melt a dash of butter or coconut oil in a frying pan, add your oats, and toast for about five minutes or until the oats are golden brown.
- Go Against The Grain. The great thing about oatmeal is that it’s infinitely customizable. You can add other grains to your oatmeal to change the flavor and kick up the nutrition in the process.
- Get A Little Fruity. Fruit is an ideal addition to oatmeal or any hot cereal. We recommend blueberries, raspberries, apples, or cherries, but any fruit will do.
- Spice Things Up. Sprinkling in spices is another great way to make oatmeal taste good. Your cabinet is probably full of spice containers, but which ones work best?
- Veg Out. For a truly nutritious, filling, and delicious addition to your meal, try dicing in your favorite vegetables to a mug of hot oatmeal. Carrots, zucchini, and spinach work well, but any vegetable will boost the flavor.
- Go Nuts. Healthy fats are one of the three important macronutrients (along with carbohydrates and protein) that make up a healthy, balanced diet. The easiest source of healthy fats are nuts, and they make an appetizing addition to your morning oatmeal!
- Let Your Wild Side Shine. Let your wild side shine — and make your oatmeal taste amazing in the process — by scooping in your favorite dry cereal. It’s a great way to add a dash of excitement to your morning meal, and there are so many options available that you could try a new concoction every day.
- Create A Savory Treat. Want a quick and easy way to add flavor and nutrition to your hot oatmeal? Try stirring in your favorite nut or seed butter. Most kitchen cabinets contain peanut butter, so all you have to do is scoop in a teaspoon of your favorite brand.
