FRESH FIG BREAD
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Heat the oven to 350 F/180 C/Gas 4. Grease and flour two 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans (or 3 small loaf pans).
- In a mixing bowl with an electric mixer, beat the eggs. Add the sugar and beat well.
- With the mixer on low speed, add the mashed figs and vegetable oil.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add the flour mixture to the first mixture alternating with the buttermilk. Beat until well blended.
- Fold in chopped pecans.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The center may sink slightly while cooling.

FIG BREAD WITH NUTS
Steps:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Use some butter to grease the inside of a loaf pan. Dust the inside with flour; this helps prevent the bread from sticking to the pan. Melt the 1/2 cup of butter.
- Mix the flours, baking soda and powder, salt and nuts in a bowl.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugars until well combined. Stirring constantly, incorporate the butter. Add this to the bowl with the flour, stir once, then add the figs. Stir until combined.
- Pour the batter into the loaf pan, using a spatula to get everything out of the bowl. Bake uncovered for about 50 minutes, until a toothpick comes out of the loaf cleanly. Let the bread rest 10 minutes, then pop it out of the pan to cool on a rack.

- 1. Stir together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Set aside. 2. In large mixing bowl, combine KELLOGG'S ALL-BRAN cereal and milk. Let stand about 2 minutes or until cereal softens. Add egg, oil and honey. Beat well. Add flour mixture, stirring only until combined. Stir in figs. Spread evenly in 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray.3. Bake at 350°F about 50 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Let cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely on wire rack before slicing.

Let stand about 2 minutes or until cereal softens and mixture is lukewarm. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add nuts. 2. Stir together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add to cereal mixture, stirring only until combined. Spread evenly in 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray..3. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes. Brush with milk and bake 15 minutes longer or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Let stand in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan and completely cool on wire rack before slicing.
