Yield Serves 16 to 20 as an hors d'oeuvre or 8 to 10 as a dessert

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 1/2 teaspoons black peppercorns
1 pound feta
1/3 cup honey

Steps:

  • With a mortar and pestle or the bottom of a heavy skillet coarsely crack peppercorns.
  • Pat feta dry and put on a platter. In a measuring cup stir together pepper and honey and pour over feta.

1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary leaves
1 teaspoon black peppercorns, cracked coarse
1 pound feta cheese, rinsed and patted dry

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan combine honey, water, rosemary, and peppercorns and simmer, swirling pan occasionally, until reduced to about 1/2 cup. Cool honey to room temperature.
  • Cut feta into thin slices and serve drizzled with honey.
