EASY CRAB CAKES

- In a large bowl, combine 1/3 cup bread crumbs, green onions, red pepper, egg, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder and cayenne; fold in crab., Place remaining bread crumbs in a shallow bowl. Divide mixture into eight portions; shape into 2-in. balls. Gently coat in bread crumbs and shape into 1/2-in.-thick patties., In a large nonstick skillet, heat butter over medium-high heat. Add crab cakes; cook until golden brown, 3-4 minutes on each side.

FAR EAST CRAB CAKES
Steps:
- 1. Combine first 7 ingredients in a small bowl; stir well.
- 2. Shape crabmeat mixture into 8 patties.
- 3. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium-high heat until hot.
- 4. Add crabmeat patties, and cook 6 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned on both sides, turning once.
- 5. Transfer to a serving platter.
- 6. If desired, garnish with lemon wedges and green onion.

I am not completly sure, but I believe this recipe came from Sunset Magazine. This recipe can either be made as an appetizer or as a main-dish depending on how much crab meat you use.

- Combine first 6 ingredients in a bowl; toss well.
- Add mayonnaise and stir well.
- Divide mixture into 4 equal portions; shaping each into a 1/4 inch thick patty.
- Place patties on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray; sprinkle with paprika, if desired.
- Bake@ 400 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
