Restaurant Ham Fried Rice tastes just like your favorite take-out, but with simple, wholesome ingredients you already have at home!

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 cups long-grain white rice (uncooked)
4 cups water
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons vegetable oil ((sesame oil can also be used))
1 small onion or green onion (chopped)
1 clove garlic (minced)
1-2 cups ham (diced)
1 cup carrots and peas (diced, frozen works great)
3 eggs (beaten)
soy sauce (to taste)

Steps:

  • Cook rice according to package directions. Heat vegetable or sesame oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions to the hot oil and stir until clear and light brown. Stir in garlic.
  • When garlic is lightly browned, add ham and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add veggies and cook until they are tender.
  • Stir in beaten eggs. Cook until eggs are scrambled and firm.
  • When rice is done, add to skillet and mix in thoroughly. Stir in soy sauce, a little at a time. (you can always add more so don't overdo it).

4 green onions, chopped
1 cup cubed ham
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup frozen mixed peas and carrots
4 cups cold cooked rice
1 cup bean sprouts
1 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons soy sauce

Steps:

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the green onions in the oil for 1 minute. Add the ham, eggs, and the peas and carrot blend to the oil. Cook and stir until the egg is completely cooked. Add the rice and bean sprouts to the egg mixture and stir continually until the rice is heated completely through. Remove from heat; season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce.

1 tablespoon sesame oil
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon white pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 carrots, peeled and grated
½ cup frozen corn
½ cup frozen peas
3 cups cooked brown rice
2 cups diced pineapple
½ cup diced ham
2 green onions, sliced

Steps:

  • Whisk soy sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, and white pepper together in a bowl; set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook, stirring often, until soft and translucent, 3 to 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Stir in carrots, corn, and peas and stir-fry until vegetables are tender, 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Stir in brown rice, pineapple, ham, green onions, and soy sauce mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until heated through, about 2 minutes. Serve immediately.

6 tablespoons sesame oil, divided
1 cup Sam's Choice® Premium Spiral-Cut Ham, chopped
2 large eggs, beaten
4 green onions, chopped on the bias, divided
1 cup bais-cut snap peas
1 large carrot, diced
3 cups white rice, or brown rice (using pre-packaged rice)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
3 tablespoons sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a large, high-walled skillet over medium heat. Add the Sam's Choice® Premium Spiral-Cut Ham and fry until warmed through and browned, about 3-4 minutes. Transfer the ham to a medium bowl and set aside.
  • Add another 2 tablespoons of sesame oil to the pan, then add the beaten eggs. Cook, stirring, for 1-2 minutes, until the eggs are soft-scrambled. Add to the bowl with the ham and set aside.
  • Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of sesame oil to the pan, then add all but 2 tablespoons of the green onions, the snap peas, and the carrot. And cook for 4-5 minutes, until the vegetables are just tender. Remove the pan from the heat.
  • Add the rice, ham, and egg to the pan with the vegetables and stir to combine. Add the soy sauce and stir to evenly distribute.
  • Serve the fried rice topped with the cilantro, sesame seeds, reserved green onions, and Sriracha, if desired.

1 tablespoon butter
1 2/3 cups water
1 cup long grain rice
3 tablespoons oil, divided
2 large eggs
4 ounces cubed ham, cooked
1 small chopped onion
1 cup frozen green pea, thawed under running water
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oriental sesame oil

Steps:

  • In med saucean bring butter and water to a boil over high heat.
  • Stir in rice.
  • Reduce heat to med low and partially cover the pan, simmering until most of the liquid is absorbed, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir the rice with a fork.
  • Reduce heat to low and cover and continue cooking until tender, about 15 minutes.
  • In a large skillet heat 1 TBS oil over med high, coating the pan.
  • In a small bowl beat eggs.
  • Add the eggs to the skillet and fry until set, turning once.
  • Transfer to plate and cut into 1/2 inch by 2 inch strips, then set aside.
  • In the same skillet heat another TBS oil.
  • Add ham and cook until lightly browned.
  • Transfer ham to eggs and set aside.
  • In same skillet, add final TBS oil.
  • Add onion and stir fry for 1 minute.
  • Stir in peas, cover and cook til tender 2-3 minutes.
  • Gently stir in the rice, eggs, ham, soy sauce and sesame oil.
  • Cook til heated through.
  • Serve immediately.

1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery

Steps:
