TOASTED EVERYTHING BAGEL SEASONING
The trick to making the best everything bagel seasoning is to toast the seeds and spices in a skillet! That way, it tastes just like a freshly toasted everything bagel. Recipe yields a little over 1/3 cup (6 tablespoons).

- In a small skillet, combine the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried onion, dried garlic, salt, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Warm over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the spices are fragrant and the sesame seeds are turning barely golden on the edges, about 5 minutes. Keep an eye on the pan, as the seeds can burn if they are not stirred frequently, especially during the last couple of minutes.
- Transfer the mix to a small bowl to cool. Store cooled leftover spice blend in a jar at room temperature for up to 1 month.

- Preheat oven to 425°. Pulse torn bagel in a food processor until coarse crumbs form. Place 1/2 cup bagel crumbs in a shallow bowl; toss with panko, cheese and pepper flakes. (Save remaining bagel crumbs for another use.), In a microwave-safe shallow bowl, microwave butter until melted. Sprinkle chicken with salt. Dip in warm butter, then coat with crumb mixture, patting to help adhere. - Preheat the oven to 375˚ F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the puff pastry sheet in half crosswise, then cut each half into nine 1-inch-wide strips and twist each strip a few times. Transfer to the baking sheet, brush each twist with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the everything bagel seasoning. Bake for 18 minutes, then rotate the pan and continue baking until the pastry is golden brown, another 4 minutes. Let cool.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine the white and black sesame seeds, salt, poppy seeds, garlic powder, onion powder and granulated onion in a small bowl.
- Divide the puff pastry sheet in half crosswise, leaving two 8-by-6-inch sheets. Cut eight 1-inch strips from each sheet and twist each strip 6 to 8 times. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Brush each piece of puff pastry with the egg and sprinkle with the seasoning.
- Bake for 8 minutes, then rotate. Bake until the pastry is golden brown, another 4 minutes.
