EVERYTHING BAGEL PIGS IN A BLANKET
Jason Goldstein of Chop Happy created this recipe as an homage to his childhood memories of going to the bagel store with his dad in New York City. It's a fun and easy appetizer for any party and can even be made a day beforehand (just refrigerate the pan of assembled pigs in blankets and pop them in the oven 30 minutes before party time).

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Combine the cream cheese, scallions, 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp pepper, and lemon juice.
- Mix well with a spoon or fork.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet into a large rectangle.
- Place one hot dog on the upper left corner of the puff pastry.
- Using the hot dog as a guide, cut a square out of the pastry that will fit around the hot dog.
- Watch the video above for guidance.
- Remove the hot dog to spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture over the small pastry square.
- Place the hot dog back on the square and wrap the pastry around the hot dog (like a blanket!), using the cream cheese as "glue" to hold it together.
- Cut the puff pastry wrapped hot dog into inch-long pieces and place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper, seam-side down.
- Repeat with the rest of the puff pastry.
- Brush the top of each "pig in a blanket" with egg wash.
- Combine the seasonings (or use a store-bought everything bagel seasoning blend) and sprinkle generously over each piece.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and your kitchen begins to smell like everything bagels.

- Preheat oven to 375 F degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Slice each triangle of crescent roll dough into 3 long strips. Wrap each strip around a cocktail frank, pressing to seal the edges. Place seam-side down on prepared baking sheet.
- Beat egg, and brush over the top of each crescent/cocktail frank. Sprinkle liberally with everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm.

- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll dough on a clean surface. Roll out dough, if necessary, into a 8x12-inch rectangle. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the dough into 6 rows by 4 rows to make 24 squares. Divide cream cheese amongst each square, placing approximately 3/4 teaspoon in the middle of each. Bring all 4 corners up over the cheese and pinch the corners together lightly; place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Whisk together egg and water and lightly brush over each crescent bite. Sprinkle with bagel seasoning.
- Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned, 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool slightly before eating as filling will be hot.

- Line a sheet pan or cutting board with parchment paper. With washed hands (duh but had to say it) roll the cream cheese filling into 8 equal sized balls and place onto the parchment paper. Set aside.
- Lay one of the crescent roll dough triangles flat on a clean work surface. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, stopping before you get to the skinny end of the triangle. Lightly press the cheese into the dough, then take the long skinny end of the triangle and fold it up towards the straight edge of the triangle. Once the far point of the skinny triangle is touching the straight edge, press the folded dough into the layer of cheese and press down to stick to the cheese and underlying layer of dough. You now should have a square-like shape of dough with cheese in the center. Place a cream cheese filling ball into the center and then wrap the edges of the dough around the cream cheese filling, fully incasing it. Cinch the edges of the dough to make sure there are no openings or holes. Then, roll the dough ball into the everything seasoning until fully coated. Place on a sheet pan. Repeat with all of the balls.
