Espresso Rub image

A yummy dark rub that would work well on beef or ribs, and possibly chicken or pork. This recipe is enough to cover a 4 to 6 pound beef roast. Enjoy!

1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon coffee, regular or 1 tablespoon espresso coffee, finely ground
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Steps:

  • Mix well and rub into meat.
  • Grill as usual!

1/3 cup instant espresso powder
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
3 teaspoons kosher salt
3 teaspoons lemon-pepper seasoning
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients until well blended. Transfer to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.

2 teaspoons espresso powder
2 teaspoons coarse salt, plus more for seasoning
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon light-brown sugar
2 strip steaks
Roasted broccoli or other vegetables

Steps:

  • Combine espresso powder, paprika, sugar, and 2 teaspoons salt. Rub on both sides of steaks. Cook as desired; season with salt. Serve with roasted broccoli or other vegetables.
