I had some left over imitation crab salad and 1 English Muffin, and wanting to use them up..I made this little snack for breakfast this morning. Along with a couple little tomatoes from my garden. Remember the ole saying....? "WASTE NOT-WANT NOT" My grandma taught me right!.. I Love her and miss her...and I still save...

1/2 english muffin
1 tsp mayonnaise
1 tsp horse radish sauce.....thats sauce!
1/2 tsp dried dill weed
1 slice american cheese... i prefere colby cheese
1/3 c imitation crab salad ,........ minced

Steps:

  • 1. PREHEAT toaster oven to 350. Place half muffin in oven and lightly toast. REMOVE to a sheet of aluminum foil.
  • 2. Add to the diced crab salad, mayonnaise, horseradish sauce and dill weed that has been mixed. Top the muffin with the crab mixture, then the cheese. Return to oven, and bake till the cheese melts. About 10 minutes.
  • 3. Now enjoy..............

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 to 3-1/4 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup warm water (120° to 130°)
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 egg
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 tablespoons cornmeal

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, sugar, yeast and salt. Add water and oil; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Add egg and vinegar; beat on high for 2 minutes. Stir in cheese and enough remaining flour to form a stiff dough. , Turn onto a floured surface; knead until dough is smooth and no longer sticky, about 2 minutes., Roll dough to about 1/2-in. thickness. Cut with a 3-in. round cutter. Roll scraps if desired. Coat baking sheets with cooking spray and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons cornmeal. Place muffins on pans; sprinkle with remaining cornmeal. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour., Heat an ungreased griddle or electric skillet to 325°. Cook muffins for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown, turning every 5 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool. Split with a fork and toast if desired.

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon TABASCO sauce

2/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
chopped fresh parsley
4 English muffins, (split)

Steps:

  • Preheat broiler.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together mayonnaise, celery, onion, garlic powder, and TABASCO sauce.
  • Fold in crab meat and cheddar cheese.
  • Spread mixture evenly on English muffin halves. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  • Broil until cheese is melted and mixture is bubbly.

8 ounces Kraft Old English cheese spread
6 ounces canned crabmeat
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup butter
salt
3 English muffins (6 halves)

Steps:

  • Mix the Old English Cheddar Cheese, crabmeat, garlic powder and butter together in a mixing bowl. Salt to taste.
  • Spread the mixture over 6 english muffin halves.
  • Place coated English muffins in the freezer until firm.
  • Cut each english muffin half into 12 approximately equal pieces.
  • Place in a ziplock bag and freeze until cooked or cook immediately.
  • To cook: Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Place the pieces on the cookie sheet cheese side up.
  • Broil for 10-15 minutes or until the top is brown/ bubbly.
