This recipe is so easy, it's embarrassing. Give your salmon a little sriracha swing with just 4 additional ingredients and 10-15 minutes of marinade time.

Provided by Asian Test Kitchen

Categories     Main Course

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 lb salmon (fillet with pin bones removed)

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Sprinkle salmon with salt.

Sriracha Glazed Salmon image

Be prepared to have your mouth water! Seared to perfection and glazed with a spicy and sweet Sriracha glaze, this easy 30-minute meal will have you in a food coma! One bite will have you hooked!

Provided by Aaron Dodson

Time 30m

Yield 6 Servings

Number Of Ingredients 13

6 each - salmon fillets
2 tbsp - extra virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
½ tbsp - kosher salt
1 tsp - ground black pepper
1 tsp - ground ginger
½ cup - yellow onion, medium diced
½ cup - bell peppers, medium diced
1 tbsp - garlic, minced
½ cup - Sriracha
½ cup - honey
¼ cup - water
¼ cup - rice wine vinegar
¼ cup - scallions, chopped

Steps:

  • Pat-dry the salmon fillets with a paper towel. Drizzle with a small amount of extra virgin olive oil on both sides of each filet. Season each fillet with kosher salt, ground black pepper, and ground ginger. Make sure to gently press the seasoning onto each filet.
  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil on medium-high. When the oil is fully heated, sear the fillets on both sides until golden brown (about 2 minutes on each side).
  • Remove the fillets from the skillet and place them on a plate or sheet pan. Turn the heat down to medium heat. Add the chopped onions and bell peppers and saute until soft (about 5 minutes).
  • Add the minced garlic. Cook until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add the Sriracha, honey, water, and rice wine vinegar. Mix until well combined. Bring the glaze to a simmer and allow it to reduce by ¼ (about 3 - 5 minutes)
  • Add the fillets back into the pan. Baste the fillets in the sauce until they reach 145°F internally. Remove the pan from the heat and garnish with chopped scallions. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
