Garlic-Parmesan Croutons image

These croutons taste great, and your house will smell wonderful with the scent of the herbs.

5 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
5 thick slices day-old bread with crusts removed, cut into cubes

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Mix butter, Parmesan cheese, oregano, thyme, garlic powder, and salt together in a large, flat-bottomed bowl; add bread cubes and turn with a spatula to coat. Spread coated bread cubes onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool croutons completely before storing in an airtight container.

1 clove garlic, minced
3 (3/4 inch thick) slices French bread, cut into cubes

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large saute pan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in garlic; cook and stir for 1 minute. Add bread cubes, and toss to coat. Spread on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, or until crisp and dry. Check frequently to prevent burning. Cool.

Easy homemade garlic and herb croutons, crisp and flavorful! A perfect addition to your favorite salad, soup or enjoyed as is!

1 : 15oz loaf Italian bread (day old)
3 Tb olive oil
1/4 C unsalted butter (melted)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Slice bread into cubes. Add half of the bread cubes to a large bowl. Set aside.
  • Combine olive oil, melted butter and seasonings. Whisk well to combine. Drizzle half of the mixture over half of the bread cubes in the bowl. Toss to coat well. Transfer to prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining bread cubes and butter mixture. Spread cubes into an even layer.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, tossing every 10-15 minutes. Cook until crisp and lightly golden.
  • Cool to room temperature. Store in an airtight container.

3-5 tablespoons olive oil
1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
1.5 teaspoons dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Kosher salt
fresh cracked pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread cubed bread in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic, oregano, thyme and a couple large pinches of salt along with a pinch of pepper.
  • Toss to coat evenly.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, stirring croutons every 5 minutes so they bake evenly.
  • Let cool to room temperature and enjoy on your favorite salads! But mostly enjoy them with my Kale Caesar Pasta Salad!

16 elephant garlic cloves
1 loaf French bread

Steps:

  • Seperate the cloves and brush off any dirt. Leaving the skins on, place the garlic on a small baking sheet and bake for 1/2 hour. Remove the garlic fromthe oven and cool slightly. The garlic will be crisp on the outside and creamy soft inside.
  • Cut through a fresh, French loaf and butter the slices. Crack open the garlic skins and squeeze out the creamy insides, spreading liberally on the bread slices.
  • Serve as an accompaniment to almost any pasta or seafood dish, or by itself!

This impressive appetizer looks like it took hours to make but in reality it only takes a few minutes! It's packed with flavor and the puff pastry makes it feel extra decadent. Make this and your party guests will love you forever.

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1/2 cup sundried tomatoes, minced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt
pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup grated Gruyere cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F
  • In a bowl add the finely chopped sundried tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Mix until combined and set aside
  • On a lightly floured surface roll out your thawed puff pastry sheet slightly and transfer to a cutting board
  • To the rolled out puff pastry add the sundried tomato and herb mixture evenly
  • Evenly sprinkle the top with the grated Parmesan and Gruyere cheese
  • Starting on one side, roll the puff pastry tightly, stopping at the middle
  • Roll the other side of the puff pastry tightly until you reach the middle
  • Cut into 1 inch pieces and place on a parchment lined sheet tray. Put them into the oven at let them bake for 15-17 minutes until golden brown
  • Once they're baked serve them warm and watch everyone go crazy!
