CINNAMON APPLESAUCE (EASY MICROWAVE RECIPE)
This is really easy and delicious applesauce. I left out the sugar completely and thought it was sweet enough. The recipe says that if you prefer a sweeter applesauce, choose red apples, such as Fuji or Gala, instead of adding more sugar. This recipe comes from the Everyday Food Magazine.

Steps:
- In a 2 quart microwave- safe dish with a lid, combine apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
- Cover, and microwave on high until very tender, 10- 15 minutes, stirring halfway through. Mash apples with the back of a spoon.
- Serve warm; or cover, refrigerate at least 1 hour, and serve chilled. Store, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

EASY MICROWAVE APPLESAUCE
Applesauce made the quick and easy way!! This is a basic applesauce recipe with different flavorings. This came from Wegmans. I have not tried this recipe.

Steps:
- In 2-quart microwave-safe dish, combine apples and water. Cover with lid or vented plastic wrap; microwave on HIGH (100%) 12-14 minutes or until apples are tender. (If microwave does not have carousel, rotate dish every 4 minutes). Stir in sugar and choice of flavorings.
- Microwave on HIGH 3 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Stir and set aside to cool before serving. If finer texture is desired, mash or puree apple mixture and put through a strainer.
MICROWAVE APPLESAUCE
I love this recipe, because it tastes fantastic and doesn't involve slaving over a hot stove! I found it in the "Apple Lovers' Cookbook" I picked up at a local farm market. I like to add about 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, too!

- Cover and microwave 8-10 minutes on HIGH until apples are soft, stirring once during cooking.
- Mash apples to desired consistency.
- Stir in sugar.
- Cover and allow to stand a few minutes.
