BETTER THAN SEX APPETIZER SANDWICHES
This recipe was given to by my friend, Kristin, who always has great party food. This is a variation of those baked ham and cheese appetizer sandwiches and these are always the first to go.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Do not separate the rolls, just slice them all at once with a long serrated knife. Place both packages of bottoms on a sheet pan. Cover the bottoms with the sliced ham and Swiss and put the tops back on. Cut around the individual sandwiches.
- Melt the butter and combine with the next four ingredients. Pour over the sandwiches. Bake for 15 minutes or until browned.

This is a delicious, easy appetizer, and always a hit! Ham and Swiss cheese are baked inside rolls with a flavorful spread to form delicious little sandwiches.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together butter, poppy seeds, onion, Worcestershire sauce and prepared Dijon-style mustard.
- Slice rolls in half horizontally and set aside tops. Spread bottoms with the butter mixture. Top with ham and Swiss cheese. Replace tops.
- Arrange rolls in a single layer in a medium baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven 10 to 12 minutes, until rolls are lightly browned and cheese is melted.

MINI CUCUMBER SANDWICHES
Mini cucumber sandwiches are an easy appetizer perfect for picnics, parties or family gatherings. To make these refreshing bites you only need bread, cucumbers and tasty cream cheese mixture.

- Cut the tops of the cucumber off and peel its skin (optional). Now cut off a chunk that is as long as the width of your bread. Slice it. Repeat again with another chunk of cucumber.
- Place them onto sheets of paper kitchen towel and sprinkle with salt. Set aside.
- Meanwhile: Prepare the spread by combining cream cheese, mayonnaise, dillweed, soy sauce, mustard and black pepper (see note 1).
- With paper kitchen towels remove the moisture that the salt drew out of the cucumber by patting them dry.
- Spread 3 bread slices with cream cheese mixture. Arrange cucumber slices on top of one of the slices, cover with another slice (the spread-side down). Spread the top of this slice with some more cream cheese. Cover with cucumber slices and top with bread, spread-side down.
- Cut this into 9 pieces (see note 4), insert toothpicks and repeat with the other 3 slices.
- Enjoy!

- Place 3 slices of bread on your worktop. Spread each with a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture (you should use about ½ of it).
- Now, take 2 slices of cheddar and place these on top of one slice. Add 1 or 2 slices of ham (see note 4) and top this with lettuce. Cover with second slice of bread and top this again with cheese (I only use 1 slice here), ham, lettuce and last slice of bread (spread side facing down). Press down slightly. Repeat the same with other 3 slices.
- Cut each sandwich in half. Stick 6 toothpicks into each half and cut around them. You will get 6 mini sandwiches out of 1 half = 12 mini sandwiches out of 1 sandwich (check the process pictures for better understanding). Sticking the toothpicks in before cutting keeps the fillings from moving and makes it easier to cut the tiny sandwiches.

- Goat Cheese Trio: Cut a 12-ounce log of goat cheese crosswise into 3 mini logs. Roll 1 piece in chopped mixed herbs, another in cracked mixed peppercorns and the last in chopped dried cranberries and cashews.
- Cannellini Bruschetta: Combine 1 drained can cannellini beans, 1 cup chopped drained giardiniera (Italian pickled vegetables) plus a splash of brine from the jar, 1/4 cup diced provolone and 2 tablespoons each chopped parsley and olive oil.

Combine with 4 ounces softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup each shredded Swiss cheese and milk, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan, 1 minced small garlic clove, 1/2 teaspoon salt and a dash each of cayenne and Worcestershire sauce in a microwave-safe dish.
- Indian Yogurt Dip: Mix 1 cup Greek yogurt with 2 tablespoons each chopped cilantro and tomato, 1 tablespoon minced shallot, 1/2 teaspoon each grated ginger and garlic, and salt to taste.
- Cucumber-Caviar Rounds: Spoon dollops of crème fraîche onto cucumber rounds. Top each with a small spoonful of salmon or trout caviar.
- Pomegranate Guacamole: Cook 3 tablespoons pepitas (hulled green pumpkin seeds) in 1 tablespoon olive oil until toasted; season with salt. Mash 2 avocados with 1/2 cup chopped cilantro, 1/4 cup finely chopped onion, the juice of 1/2 lime, 1 finely chopped jalapeno and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
