This Taco Dip is an easy game day dish to make, and fun to serve. The four layers of deliciousness are sure to please your hungry crowd. This dip of refried beans, taco seasoned ground beef, sour cream and Mexican cheese topped with diced tomato, jalapeño, and served with tortilla chips is a fan favorite at our house!

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion (chopped)
1 lb. ground beef
1 ounce taco seasoning
2/3 cup water
15 ounces refried beans
1½ cups sour cream
1 cup shredded Mexican Blend Cheese
1 tomato (diced)
1 jalapeño (diced or sliced)
tortilla chips (for serving)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Prepare a 9-inch pie plate by spraying it with cooking spray.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil.
  • Add chopped onion to the skillet and saute until soft, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Place the ground beef into the pan and heat until completely cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • Drain the fat.
  • Add the packet of taco seasoning, and 2/3 cup water. Stir to combine and simmer for at least 5 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  • Spread the refried beans on the bottom of the pie plate.
  • Completely cover with seasoned ground beef.
  • Spread with sour cream.
  • Evenly distribute shredded cheese.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and everything is heated through.
  • Garnish with diced fresh tomato, jalapeño and serve with tortilla chips

Steps:

  • In a small mixing bowl, mix together refried beans and green chiles. Spread mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate or square baking dish.
  • Beat cream cheese, sour cream and half a packet of taco seasoning together until smooth and creamy. Spread into the bottom of dish over refried beans mixture.
  • Spread salsa on top of cream cheese mixture.
  • Top with cheese, olives, tomatoes and green onions.
  • Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Serve with tortilla chips.

  • Place the lettuce on the bottom of a small casserole dish.

2 cups Sour Cream
1 Taco Seasoning Packet
1 jar of Salsa
3 Avocados
2 cups Shredded Lettuce (they sell it already shredded!)
2 cups Shredded Mexican Cheese
3-4 Tomatoes
*I used a 9x13 glass dish

Steps:

  • Spread the refried beans evenly in the dish.
  • In a bowl, mix the taco seasoning and the sour cream, and spread it over the refried beans.
  • Spread the salsa over the sour cream.
  • Half, pit, and scoop the avocados into a bowl. Mash with a potato masher. Then spread over the sour cream.
  • Continue layering the lettuce, Mexican cheese, and finally the tomatoes. Chill for at least an hour before serving.

2 ounce can sliced black olives, drained
2 green onions, diced

Steps:

  • Brown the ground beef in a large pan. Drain the fat and add the taco sauce. Mix well and set aside.
  • In a bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the sour cream and taco seasoning. Mix until well combined.
  • In a 3 quart dish, begin layering in this order - refried beans, cream cheese/sour cream mixture, ground beef, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives and green onions.
  • Chill for 30 minutes prior to serving.

1 cup black beans (washed and rinsed)
4 cups shredded lettuce
2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese

Steps:

  • In the bottom of a 9x13 pan, spread the sour cream.
  • Then sprinkle the taco seasoning and black beans on top of the sour cream.
  • Spread the lettuce over top of the beans.
  • Lay out the halved tomatoes in lines to form a flag.
  • Put cheese between the tomato stripes, and then put the sliced olives in the top left corner to look like stars.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or veggies.
  • Serve as soon as possible after making this. It tends to get watery the longer it sits. It should be OK for a few hours, though.

16 oz sour cream
16 oz salsa
4 oz. sliced black olives
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup shredded cheese
1 packet taco seasoning
tortilla chips

Steps:

  • Spread heated and smooth refried beans onto a large serving platter or in a transparent glass pie plate. The size of the platter will be the size of your dip, so if you choose to use a large platter, just make sure you use more than one can so the dip is deep enough in thickness.
  • Mix 16 oz tub of sour cream and taco seasoning together in a small bowl.
  • Using a spatula, carefully spread sour cream on top of the refried beans.
  • Add medium or mild salsa on top of the sour cream mixture, carefully keeping the salsa inside the sour cream ring for presentation.

Steps:

  • In a bowl, and using a mixer, mix together the cream cheese, sour cream and taco seasoning, set aside.

1 pound of ground beef
Water
3 tbsp taco seasoning, divided (less than one envelopes taco seasoning)
1/2 cup salsa
Can of refried veans
1/2 cup sour cream
Shredded cheese (we used cheddar - Mexican blend would work well, too)
Roma tomatoes
Green onion

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Brown ground beef over medium heat and drain excess grease
  • Add about ½ cup water, two tablespoons of taco seasoning, and salsa.
  • Cook until combined
  • IN a separate medium bowl, combine refried beans with sour cream and 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • Spread refried beans and sour cream mixture in bottom of the baking dish
  • Next make a ground beef layer by evenly spreading the ground beef on top of the refried beans
  • Top with cheddar cheese and bake for 20 minutes, broiling if necessary
  • Remove from oven and top with roma tomatoes and green onion
