INSTANT POT BEER BRATS
Bratwurst cooked with beer in your Instant Pot pressure cooker. No matter the type or brand, they come out perfectly cooked each and every time!

- Set your Instant Pot to Sauté
- Once the display reads HOT, add the olive oil and then the bratwurst. Brown on both sides.
- Remove all of the brats from the instant pot and pour in the beer. Deglaze the bottom of the pot to remove any browned bits.
- Place a trivet in the bottom of the pot and place your bratwurst on top.
- Lock the lid in place and push the valve to the Sealing position. Pressure Cook/Manual Setting on HIGH pressure for 7 minutes.
- One the cooking time expires, allow for a Natural Pressure Release. Once the pin drops remove the lid and enjoy!

Steps:
- Add the sausages, sliced onions and a splash of beer to an Instant Pot. Select the SAUTE setting, and cook until the sausages have browned on the bottom. Flip, and repeat on the other side.
- Scrape the bottom of the pot with a wooden spoon or spatula to loosen up any stuck pieces of sausage or onion. Turn off the Instant Pot, and seal it with a lid. Turn it back on. Select the PRESSURE COOK or MANUAL setting, and set it to 5 minutes on high pressure.
- The Instant Pot takes about 5-10 minutes to pressurize, and will then start counting down. When the timer is up, perform a quick release of the pressure according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Serve the pressure cooked brats in buns as hot dogs, or as an entree paired with any side dishes that you like.

Steps:
- Turn on the Instant Pot and set to Saute High.
- Brown the bratwurst lightly in the butter on both sides, about 2-3 minutes each. You might need to brown these in two batches, depending on how many brats you're cooking and the size of your pressure cooker.
- Remove all of the brats from the Instant Pot and set asie on a. plate.
- Place a rack on the bottom, set all of your bratwurst on top of the rack.
- Carefully pour the beer over the bratwurst.
- Set your instant pot to Manual or Pressure Cook (depending on your model) and cook for 6 minutes. Once done, do a Natural Release for 10 minutes and then release any remaining pressure. Enjoy!

- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat. When hot, lightly oil grate.
- Combine the beer and onions in a large pot; bring to a boil. Submerge the bratwurst in the beer; add the red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat to medium and cook another 10 to 12 minutes. Remove the bratwurst from the beer mixture; reduce heat to low, and continue cooking the onions.
- Cook the bratwurst on the preheated grill, turning once, 5 to 10 minutes. Serve with the beer mixture as a topping or side.
