CREAMY GARLIC ALFREDO SAUCE IN 15 MINUTES
We created this sauce with milk because most families have milk in the fridge. If you want to use heavy cream, then just eliminate the flour and replace the milk with heavy cream. Makes about 2 1/2 cups of sauce.

Steps:
- Heat a sauce pan on medium-high heat. Melt butter, then add garlic and cook translucent and fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Whisk in flour and continue whisking to remove large clumps.
- Slowly whisk in the milk. Whisking often to make sure flour lumps are smooth, bring sauce to a low boil. Then reduce heat to low.
- Add dried herbs, mustard powder, parmesan, salt and pepper. Continue whisking until sauce is smooth and begins to thicken.
- Serve the sauce with your favorite pasta. If you're saving the sauce for later, allow the sauce to completely cool.
- Pour the sauce into mason jars or a container. Keep in fridge and use within 5 days.

- Add the half and half to the melted butter while whisking.
- Add in thh garlic and simmer for 3 minutes. Do not let it come to a boil. I stirred it almost constantly.
- Remove the sauce from the heat and add in the cheese, a handful at a time, whisking thoroughly until it is completely melted in the sauce. Continue doing this until all the cheese has been added in the sauce.
- Add in the nutmeg and stir.
- Taste the sauce and add salt and pepper if needed.

- Cook the pasta as directed on the box in the salted water. Start boiling the pasta water about 10 minutes before you start making your sauce. You want to have the pasta ready at about the same time your sauce will be finished.
- Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan or skillet over medium heat. Add the salt and pepper to the pan and whisk together.
- Add the flour and whisk until smooth, removing all lumps.
- Slowly pour the milk into the pan and whisk until smooth.
- Add the shredded Parmesan cheese to the pan and whisk until melted and combined with the milk. Taste and adjust the amount of Parmesan cheese if needed.
- Continue whisking until the sauce has thickened, 5 to 8 minutes. The sauce will thicken even further as it cools. If it thickens too much before you can add it to your pasta thin it with a little pasta water or milk.
- Drain the cooked pasta and pour into a large serving bowl. Pour the Alfredo sauce over the pasta and toss until the pasta is evenly coated with the Alfredo sauce.
- Serve immediately with a crusty French bread.
- Makes enough sauce to cover one pound of Fettucine pasta noodles. Will make 6 to 8 serving.
