A quick and easy blend of gnocchi, sausage, cheese, and your favorite spaghetti sauce baked together for a hearty casserole.

1 (18 ounce) package frozen or fresh gnocchi
1 pound bulk Italian sausage
1 (14 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add gnocchi, and cook until tender, 5 to 8 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, crumble the sausage into a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir until evenly browned. Drain grease, and stir in the spaghetti sauce. Remove from heat, and carefully mix in the cooked gnocchi and half of the mozzarella cheese. Transfer to a casserole dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is bubbly.

1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 onion, chopped
One 8-ounce piece deli ham, diced
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
One 17.5-ounce package potato gnocchi
1 cup frozen peas, thawed
1/4 cup heavy cream
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup shredded Swiss or Gruyere cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the broiler to high heat.
  • Melt the butter in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Add the ham and thyme and continue to cook until the ham is lightly browned.
  • Add the chicken broth and 3/4 cup water and bring to a simmer. Add the gnocchi, stir well, cover and cook until the gnocchi is slightly tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat. Uncover and stir in the peas, cream, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Sprinkle the cheese over the top and broil until golden and bubbly, about 3 minutes. Serve.

⅓ cup pasta sauce
¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese, or to taste

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook gnocchi in the boiling water until they float to the top, about 3 minutes. Drain.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Spread 1/2 of the pasta sauce on the bottom of a 5-inch round casserole dish. Layer with gnocchi and spread the remaining pasta sauce on top. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted and bubbling, about 25 minutes.

Pillowy bites of gnocchi smothered in a silky tomato sauce, topped with golden cheese. Comfort food heaven! Though I make this with store bought Marinara Sauce, I like to freshen up the flavours by simmering it will garlic and onion before using.

1 ½ pounds gnocchi (store bought)
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 garlic cloves (minced)
½ onion (finely chopped)
700 ml marinara sauce (24 ounces)
½ cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning ((optional))
1 cup mozzarella cheese (grated)
½ cup basil leaves (torn/chopped)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Cook gnocchi according to packet directions. Drain and transfer to 1.5 quart baking dish.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onion, cook for 1 ½ minutes.
  • Add marinara sauce. Turn heat down and bring to simmer. Stir through cream and Seasonings, if using.
  • Pour over gnocchi. Stir to spread out. Top with cheese. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden.
  • Garnish with basil leaves if desired and serve immediately.

17.5 oz Gnocchi (boiled according to package directions)
1 c Spaghetti sauce
¾ c Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 c Mozzarella (shredded)
½ tsp Salt
as desired Pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Grease/spray a small casserole dish with non-stick spray
  • In a bowl, combine boiled gnocchi, sauce, ¼ C parmesan, salt and pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
  • Transfer contents from the bowl to the casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle remaining parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese on the top. You can also sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning on top of the cheese if you wish.
  • Bake for approximately 20 - 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted

I used to get this at a neighborhood Italian restaurant and was miserable when they closed, until I realized how easy it is to make. It goes together quickly and is very filling. Feel free adjust the seasonings to your own taste.

1 package frozen potato gnocchi
1 lb bulk pork sausage
1 -2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or 1 -2 cup Italian cheese blend
1 jar your favorite pasta sauce
1 -2 teaspoon italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • In a large skillet, crumble and brown sausage until cooked through.
  • Drain.
  • Meanwhile, cook gnocchi according to package directions.
  • In a large, oven-proof casserole dish, combine sausage, gnocchi, pasta sauce, half the cheese and half the Italian seasoning.
  • Bake casserole approx. 25 minutes, or until heated through.
  • Top with remaining cheese and sprinkle with remaining Italian seasoning and bake another 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

1 (10 oz.) pkg. Green Giant Frozen Broccoli in Cheese Flavored Sauce, thawed
2 (4.5-oz.) jars Green Giant Sliced Mushrooms, drained
1/2 cup Progresso Parmesan Bread Crumbs

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Cook gnocchi as directed on package, omitting salt. Meanwhile, melt butter in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add garlic; cook and stir 3 minutes. Add cream; mix well. Gradually add 1 cup of the cheese, stirring after each addition until melted. Add ham, broccoli in sauce, mushrooms and cooked gnocchi; mix well. Spoon into ungreased 9-inch square (1 1/2-quart) glass baking dish. In small bowl, combine bread crumbs and remaining 1/2 cup cheese; mix well. Sprinkle over casserole.
