10 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces, plus more for pan
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 ounces semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped
4 ounces cream cheese, room-temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 large eggs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush a 9-inch square baking pan with butter. Line bottom and two sides with a strip of parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang on the two sides. Butter paper, and set pan aside. In a small bowl, whisk 1 cup flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  • Place 8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter and chocolate in a large heat-proof bowl set over (not in) a saucepan of gently simmering water. Heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth, 2 to 3 minutes; remove bowl from pan. Add 1 1/4 cups sugar; mix to combine. Add 3 eggs, and mix to combine. Add flour and cocoa mixture; mix just until moistened (do not overmix).
  • Prepare cream-cheese mixture: Whisk cream cheese with 2 tablespoons room-temperature butter. Whisk in 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour. Alternately spoon chocolate batter and cream-cheese mixture into pan; with the tip of a paring knife, swirl to marble.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached, 50 to 60 minutes. Cool in pan for 30 minutes. Using paper overhang, lift brownies out of pan; transfer to a rack to cool completely (still on paper). On a cutting board, using a dampened serrated knife, cut into 16 squares.

1 (20 ounce) package fudge brownie mix (13x9 size)
1/4 cup water (or what mix calls for)
1/3 cup oil (or what your mix calls for)
2 eggs (or what your mix calls for)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
  • Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions (water, oil, eggs).
  • Pour into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan.
  • Beat cream cheese with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
  • Add sugar and mix. Add vanilla and egg; mix until well-blended.
  • Place cheese mixture in dolups over the whole pan, leaving some brownie showing inbetween.
  • Cut or swirl through batter several times with a knife or fork for a marbled effect. It can be tricky to get a good marble effect so be careful not to over work it.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool; cut into squares. (These will also freeze well).

1/4 cup Caster Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Whole Egg , at room temperature

Steps:

  • To begin making the Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies Recipe, prep all the ingredients and keep them ready.
  • Into a large mixing bowl add the cream cheese, castor sugar, vanilla extract,egg and beat well until soft and fluffy peaks form. This will take about two minutes. Keep aside.
  • Into a double boiler place a heat proof bowl. Into the bowl add the butter and dark chocolate and melt the chocolate and butter until creamy and smooth.
  • Once done remove from heat and add castor sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, all purpose flour and salt to it.

1/2 cup (4 oz.) vegan cream cheese*
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips + more for topping
1 cup flour
3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup non-dairy milk
1/3 cup oil

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x9 inch pan. Set it aside.
  • In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the chocolate chips for 30 seconds. Stir and continue this process, only microwaving 30 seconds at a time, until the chocolate has melted. Set aside to cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients from the flour to the salt.
  • Add the melted chocolate, non-dairy milk and oil to the flour mixture and stir until combined.
  • Pour the brownie batter into your prepared baking dish and smooth out the top.
  • Take the cream cheese mixture and dollop it on the top of the brownie batter. Take a knife and drag the edge of the knife through the cream cheese and brownie batter in a swirly motion.
  • Top the brownies with extra chocolate chips if desired.
  • Bake the brownies for about 30 minutes, or until your desired doneness.
  • Allow the brownies to cool before slicing and serving. They may be a little crumbly if you cut them before they cool and set!
  • Place any leftover brownies in an airtight container in the fridge. The brownies will taste even better and get more fudgey once refrigerated.

11 tablespoons (1 stick plus 3 tablespoons) unsalted butter, room temperature, plus more for pan
1 2/3 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup packed light-brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
6 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line a buttered 8-inch square baking pan with parchment, allowing a 2-inch overhang. Butter lining (excluding overhang); set pan aside.
  • Whisk together 1 2/3 cups flour, the baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl, and set aside.
  • Put 9 tablespoons butter and the brown sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment; mix on medium speed until pale and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla; mix until combined. Reduce speed to low. Add flour mixture, mix, scraping down sides of bowl, until well combined. Transfer to a large bowl.
  • Put cream cheese, granulated sugar, remaining 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons flour, 1 egg, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla into the clean bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment; beat on medium speed until just smooth.
  • Pour half the blondie batter into prepared pan, and spread evenly with an offset spatula. Spoon two-thirds of cream-cheese mixture on top, and spread evenly. Drop dollops of remaining batter on top (spacing about 1 inch apart), and spread. Top with dollops of remaining cream-cheese mixture, about 1 inch apart.
  • Gently swirl cream cheese mixture into batter with a butter knife, running the knife lengthwise and crosswise through layers. Bake until golden brown and a cake tester inserted into center comes out with a few crumbs but is not wet, 45 to 47 minutes. Let cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares. Blondies can be stored between layers of parchment in an airtight container at room temperature up to 2 days.

16 ounces cream cheese (softened (2 - 8 ounce packages))
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 350°F. Grease the bottom and sides of a rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches, with shortening or non-stick spray.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter in a 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. Let it cool.
  • Beat the cream cheese filling ingredients together until smooth and set aside.
  • Beat together the cooled chocolate mixture, sugar, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed for 1 minute, scraping the bowl occasionally.
  • Beat in the flour and salt on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping the bowl occasionally. Beat on medium speed for 1 minute. Stir in the nuts. Spread half of the batter (2 1/2 cups) in the pan. Spread the cheesecake filling over the batter. Carefully spread the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese filling.
  • You can bake it as is or create the pretty design you see in the picture. To do that, take a butter knife and insert it into the layers of batter. Swirl the knife a bit so that the batters mix just a bit into a swirl pattern as in the image.
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 350°F for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool the cheesecake brownies in the pan on a wire rack.
  • Makes 9 to 16 brownies.

1 large egg (at room temperature)

Steps:

  • First start by preheating the oven to 350F and line your 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk the melted butter, the brown sugar, and the granulated sugar together for about 1 minute. Add the eggs and the vanilla and beat until the colors becomes lighter. (about another minutes or two)

  • Prepare the brownies as directed by the box.
  • Reserve about a cup of the brownie mix before pouring the rest into a greased 9×9 dish.
  • In a separate bowl, blend together the cream cheese, vanilla, egg and sugar mixture.

Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
Reserved egg yolk
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Grease bottom of 9-inch square pan with shortening or cooking spray. In small bowl, mix cream cheese and sugar with spoon until smooth. Add flour, egg white and vanilla; mix until well blended. Set aside.
  • Make brownie batter as directed on box, adding reserved egg yolk. Reserve 1/2 cup brownie batter; set aside. Spread remaining batter in pan. Spoon filling by tablespoonful dollops evenly onto batter, making 3 rows by 3 rows. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the reserved brownie batter in center of each filling dollop. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow the bars to cool on the counter until you can move them into the fridge. Chill for 1-2 hours to allow the bars to set before cutting.
