1 (15 ounce) can hormel chili with beans
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup green onion, chopped (optional)
1 cup sour cream (optional)
4 flour tortillas

Steps:

  • Spoon chili and cheese onto flour tortilla and roll up.You can put a toothpick or two to in hold it in place.
  • Place on microwavable plate and cook for about 2 minutes (or until warm throughout).
  • Top with sour cream and green onions. Enjoy!

I don't know if you can really call this a recipe since it's basically just throwing a few things into a tortilla, but I LOVE this combo!

1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoons refried beans
3 tablespoons turkey chili
2 tablespoons low-fat cheese (any kind)
1/2 teaspoon enchilada sauce
1 low-carb whole wheat tortilla

Steps:

  • Stir water and refried beans together until beans are thin. (You can use less or no water if you don't want your beans so thin, but I like them that way).
  • Heat in a small saucepan just until warmed (about 4 minutes?).
  • Spread on tortilla.
  • Microwave turkey chili and spread over beans.
  • Top with enchilada sauce and cheese.
  • Fold in both edges and wrap. You may need to hold with a toothpick.
  • Microwave on high about 30 seconds.

Kids love these - minus the onion. Great weekday meal when you're pushed for time and you're not watching calories! Leftover chili is best but canned will do.

4 burritos, frozen or homemade
3 cans chili or 3 cups homemade chili
3/4 cup oil (for deep frying)
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 cups chopped lettuce
1 cup chopped tomato
1 cup chopped onion
1 jar salsa (your favorite brand)
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
sliced jalapeno

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a large skillet.
  • Add the burritos and fry on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Drain on a paper towel.
  • While burritos are frying, heat the chili on stove or microwave.
  • To serve:.
  • Plate the burrito, top with a ladle of chili, add a handful of lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and onion.
  • Sprinkle a few jalapenos on top.
  • Finish with a couple tablespoons of salsa and a dollop of sour cream.

This is a dish my mom taught me, it's really quick and easy and my family loves it.

1 lb ground beef
24 oz can of chili with no beans
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
10 burrito sized flour tortillas
1-16oz pkg mexican blend shredded cheese
3/4 c water
13x9 baking dish
frying pan

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degree.
  • 2. Cook ground beef until brown, drain, rinse and return to skillet.
  • 3. Add taco seasoning to meat and add the amount of water specified on the seasoning package.
  • 4. Let meat and taco seasoning simmer on low heat while you heat the tortillas.
  • 5. Add 2-3 spoonfuls of meat to tortilla, top with 1 tbsp of cheese. Roll tortilla and put into 13x9 pan seam side down.
  • 6. Once all 10 tortillas are added to the 13x9 pan top with can of chili. Add remaining cheese to the top of the chili.
  • 7. Put dish into heated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.

1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
3 Tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups water
1 cup Jasmine rice
1 (16 ounce) can re-fried beans
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
2 Tablespoons cornstarch (optional)
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
12 large flour tortillas, warmed in oven or microwave.

Steps:

  • In a large pot or dutch oven, cook ground beef, onions, chili powder and salt. Cook until ground beef is cooked through and onion is translucent. Add water and rice to pot. Mix well and bring to a boil. Put lid on pot and lower heat to low. Cook for 20 minutes. Once rice is cooked through, add re-fried beans and tomato paste. Stir to combine. If mixture is soupy then mix 2 Tablespoons of cornstarch with 1Tablespoon of water in a small bowl. Mix well and add it to rice mixture. If rice is NOT soupy, skip this step. Add 1 1/2 cups of cheese to rice mixture and mix well. Scoop 1/2 cup of mixture into each tortilla and roll up like a burrito. Serve immediately.

  • For the bean filling: In a fry pan over medium high heat add pinto beans and kidney beans. Once bubbly, add the bacon grease, lard, or Crisco.. With a potato masher, mash the beans until nice and creamy. Add cheese, stir well until melted. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • For the Chili: In a skillet over medium high heat, add ground beef and cook until starting to brown. Add onion and bell pepper and cook until beef is cooked through and vegetables are soft. Drain grease from beef if necessary. Add Pinto Beans in Chili Sauce, canned tomatoes, water and chili seasoning. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • To assemble burritos. Warm flour tortillas for a few seconds in the microwave. Add a good sized dollop of the bean mixture to the center of each tortilla. Roll up and top with the chili. Top with sour cream and avocado.
