Serve this broccoli slaw as a salad or a side dish at any family meal, potluck, or buffet.

One 16-ounce bag of shredded broccoli
1 cup of chopped raw broccoli
1/2 cup of shredded carrots
1/2 cup of pecan halves
1/2 cup of raisins
2/3 cup of mayonnaise
1 teaspoon of mustard
1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons of honey (more if you like it sweeter)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, mustard, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Stir until well mixed.
  • Add the shredded broccoli, raw broccoli, shredded carrots, pecan halves, raisins, and anything else you want to add.
  • Stir all of the ingredients until all of the broccoli and carrots are coated.
  • Cover the slaw and put it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

1-1/2 cups fresh broccoli florets
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine broccoli, cheese, bacon and onion. In another bowl, whisk mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar. Pour over broccoli mixture and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

This is a fast, easy, and very tasty broccoli salad made with broccoli slaw. I use light products where possible, but you can certainly use whatever you have on hand. This recipe is just the start! You can also add diced apples or crumbled bacon. This is also a great dish to make ahead of time. I'd say it's at its best after at least a day.

2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 (12 ounce) package broccoli slaw
½ cup dried cranberries
½ cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar in a bowl. Add broccoli slaw, cranberries, and walnuts and mix until evenly coated.
