Steps:
- Season the pork chops on both sides with sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear on both sides, about 3 minutes per side without moving, until browned. Transfer the pork chops to a plate and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium-low or medium. Using the same dutch oven, saute the sliced onions for 15-20 minutes, until caramelized.
- Once the onions are caramelized, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Add the minced garlic and thyme leaves to the dutch oven. Saute for about a minute, until fragrant.
- Add the chicken broth to the dutch oven. Scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer for about 2-3 minutes, until it gets thicker and the volume is reduced by at least 1/4.
- Remove from heat. Add the cream cheese. Stir in the cream cheese until it melts into the sauce.
- Return the pork chops to the dutch oven and spoon the sauce and onions over them. Cover with the lid and bake for 20-25 minutes, until cooked through. (Time will vary depending on the thickness of your pork chops - use a thermometer to check and cook to 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).)

SIMPLY OVEN BAKED PORK CHOPS AND RICE
This is DH's recipe. It is simple comfort food and is very versatile. You can use chicken quarters in place of chops or chicken broth in place of water. Feel free to experiment with different herbs. We never make this the same way twice. A side note: I would recommend using a bone in, fattier cut of pork and not loin chops in this recipe.

Steps:
- Preheat your oven to 350 °F.
- Whisk together the rice, soup, water and soup mix until the lumps in the soup are smoothed out and mixed in. To get three cans of the water, simply fill up the empty mushroom soup cans and use to measure. It also helps clean out the extra soup!
- Pour into a large deep large lidded casserole dish or Dutch oven like I used. This recipe is too big for a 9x13 usually, with those thick chops.
- Place your frozen pork chops on top of the rice and gently immerse the chops into the soup and cover it completely so that the pork chops don't dry out.
- Cover with foil or a lid and cook for 1 1/2 hours OR until the rice is tender and the pork has reached a temperature of 145°F .
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the crackers, then the cheese on top. Return to the oven and broil for 2-3 minutes until the crackers are browned and the cheese has melted.
- Remove and serve.

Steps:
- Place flour, poultry seasoning and salt into a zip-top plastic bag and shake to mix. Add chops and shake until they are lightly coated.
- Heat a heavy skillet large enough to hold all the chops over medium high heat, adding the oil until it shimmers. Place the chops into the pan and saute 2 - 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove chops from the pan and, still on the heat, add 2 tablespoons flour mixture from the plastic bag into the skillet, stirring a few seconds to cook the flour. Add about ½ cup of the broth to the skillet and cook and stir to lift any browned bits from the pan. Add the remaining broth to the pan and turn off the heat. Reserve the remaining flour mixture for later.
- Place the onion into the bottom of the slow cooker and lay the pork chops on top. Pour the liquids from the pan over the chops, cover and cook on high 2 hours.
- Open the cooker and ladle out about ¼ cup of the resulting juices into a small bowl. Stir in the remaining flour mixture from the plastic bag into the juices until completely smooth. Return this mixture to the slow cooker, stirring to mix. Cover and continue to cook 30- 45 more minutes.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, using the sauce in the pot as gravy.

Steps:
- 1. Sprinkle pork chops with salt, pepper and garlic powder...On the stove top over medium high heat, brown the pork chops and onion in a skillet with butter. Add garlic after first side is browned (do not allow the garlic to become dark).Turn to brown both sides of the pork chops. Pour off any excess butter after pork chops are browned. The pork chops don't need to be cooked through because they will be finished in the oven.
- 2. Combine soup, evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed milk!) and water. Pour mixture around pork chops
- 3. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for about 45 minutes,I do this all so.. Variations: Sliced mushrooms may be added to the gravy. Cream of Celery soup may be substituted for the Cream of Mushroom.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Whisk together the soup, broth, rice, garlic powder, dried chives, and onion powder. Transfer to the prepared dish.
- Pat the pork chops dry; place on top of the rice. Sprinkle onion soup mix over the pork chops, to taste. If you don't like a strong onion flavor or if you don't want the chops too salty, use just a portion of the seasoning (not the whole packet).
- Cover dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Check the pork chops at this point. If they are done (and have reached an internal temperature of 145°F), remove them from the dish, cover with foil, and set aside to rest. Give the rice a stir. The rice will not be tender yet, so cover the dish again and return to the oven for about 25-30 more minutes, or just until rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve with the pork chops. Garnish with herbs, if desired.
