TUNA POTATO CASSEROLE



Tuna Potato Casserole image

Easy tuna scallop with potatoes and other ingredients with onion and a creamy white sauce. This is a casserole that family and friends will love.

5 medium potatoes , cooked and sliced
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 tablespoons prepared mustard
2 cups milk
1 can (7 ounces) tuna , drained
1 cup chopped onion

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a saucepan; blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk. Cook over low heat, stirring until thick.
  • Arrange potatoes, tuna, and chopped onion in a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole; add sauce. Bake at 350 F for 50 to 60 minutes.

Quick and easy, this one will have you coming back for more for sure! Another old time favorite from my gram's recipe collection! Simply WONDERFUL!!!

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons onions, minced
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1 (7 ounce) can tuna, drained, and flaked
4 cups potatoes, peeled, rinsed off, and thinly sliced
fresh parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • Heat butter in a sauce pan, and saute onion, for about 5 minutes Blend in flour and salt.
  • Gradually stir in milk, and cook and stir over med. heat, until thickened.
  • Stir in tuna.
  • Put potatoes in a greased 10x6x2" casserole, and stir in tuna mixture.
  • Cover, and bake in a 350 oven, for 1 hours.
  • Uncover, and continue baking for 30 mins., or until potatoes are tender.
  • Garnish with parsley.
