Time 20m

Yield 10

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 cups miniature marshmallows
¼ cup creamy peanut butter
3 tablespoons butter
4 cups crispy chow mein noodles
cooking spray
40 candy-coated milk chocolate eggs

Steps:

  • Cook and stir marshmallows, peanut butter, and butter in a saucepan over medium heat until the marshmallows melt completely into the mixture, about 5 minutes.
  • Put chow mein noodles into a large bowl. Pour marshmallow mixture over the chow mein noodles; stir to coat.
  • Spray hands with cooking spray or coat with butter so the noodles will not stick to your hands. Scoop noodle mixture from bowl with an ice cream scoop and form into balls, hollowing the center out to create the nest. Arrange 4 chocolate eggs into each nest.

EASTER M+M Crispy Bird Nest's image

I have made these cute and delishous cookies for nearly 30 years for springtime and Easter. I use the pretty pastel M+M's that come out for Easter. These are a hit with everyone!! Not just the little kids! Try them. I will post a photo when I make them this year!

Categories     Cookies

Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 jar(s) 7 ounce marshmallow cream
1/4 c peanut butter
2 Tbsp melted butter
3 c chow mein noodles (crush with hands a little)
1 c crushed plain m+m's
1 c peanut m+m's

Steps:

  • 1. Combine the marshmallow, peanut butter, melted butter together until well mixed. Stir well.
  • 2. Add the chow mein noodles and crushed m+m's. Mix well.
  • 3. Using greased fingers form into a nest. Place on greased cookie sheet or parchment lined sheet. Place peanut M+M's in a nest as eggs. Let set until firm. Enjoy!
  • 4. I usually make a double batch. One pound bag of M+M's of plain and peanut will be enough for a double batch. These make such a pretty centerpiece on the table or buffet!! Enjoy!
