CREAM OF SOUP SUBSTITUTE MIX

Steps:

• Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl and store in an air-tight container.
• To substitute one 10 3/4 ounce can of cream soup, use 1/3 cup mix plus 1 1/4 cups water.
• Combine in a medium saucepan and cook until thick.

CREAM OF ???? SOUP, DRY MIX - SUBSTITUTE

Steps:

• Mix all ingredients in a jar with tight fitting lid.
• Shake well.
• Store on shelf until ready to use.
• To make cream of beef:.
• Add 2/3 cup mix to 1 cup beef broth.
• To make cream of chicken:.
• Add 2/3 cup mix to 1 cup chicken broth.
• To make cream of vegetable:.
• Add 2/3 cup mix to 1 cup vegetable broth.

CREAM SOUP MIX

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Store in an airtight container., For a condensed cream soup substitute: Whisk 1/3 cup mix and 1-1/4 cups water in a small saucepan until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Cool. Use as a substitute for one 10-3/4-oz.-can condensed cream of chicken, celery or mushroom soup. , For 1-1/2 cups soup: Whisk 1/3 cup mix and 1-1/2 cups water in a small saucepan until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.

HOMEMADE CREAM OF STYLE SOUP MIX - SUBSTITUTE

Steps:

• Combine all ingredients in an airtight container. Store in a cool dry place for up to a year.
• To use: for one can condensed cream of chicken soup, heat 1 1/3 cups water and 6 tablespoons of mix in a microwave safe bowl. Heat on high for 3-5 minutes or until thick and bubbly whisking occasionally.
• For mushroom soup, add 1/2 to 1 cup sautéed sliced mushrooms.
• For celery soup, add 1 sautéed chopped celery rib or 1/4 teaspoons celery salt.
• For 1/2 a can, divide measurements in half. This comes in handy when making half a recipe.

CREAM OF ANYTHING SOUP MIX SUBSTITUTE

Steps:

• Mix dry milk, cornstarch, soup base, onion flakes, thyme, dill and celery salt.
• For equivalent of 1 can cream of chicken soup combine and heat 1/3 cup dry mix and 1 1/4 cups water.
• For equivalent of 1 can cream of mushroom soup combine and heat 1/3 cup dry mix, 1 1/4 cups water, 2 ounces finely chopped mushroom pieces and 1 teaspoon salt.
• For equivalent of 1 can cream of celery soup combine and heat 1/3 cup dry mix, 1- 1/4 cups water and 1/8 cup celery flakes.

CONDENSED CREAM OF SOUP MIX ( HOMEMADE SUBSTITUTE )

Steps:

• Using an air tight container combine dry milk, cornstarch, onion flakes, pepper and chicken bouillon.
• If desired also add basil and thyme.
• Mix well.
• When using the mix combine 1/3 cup of the mix with 1 1/4 cups of water in saucepan.
• Cook and stir until thickened.

CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP MIX DRIED - SUBSTITUTE

Steps:

• Combine all ingredients and store in a tightly covered container.
• Makes 6- 8 ounce servings or is equal to 4 cans of soup.
• To make soup stir all ingredients into 1 1/2 quarts boiling water.
• Cook, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened.
• Cover and cook over very low heat 20 to 30 minutes.
