Time 1h

Yield 10

Number Of Ingredients 10

¼ cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 (14 ounce) packages little smoked cocktail sausages
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the orange juice concentrate, lemon juice, rice vinegar, orange zest, garlic powder, nutmeg, and brown sugar; stir to dissolve the sugar.
  • Stir the cocktail sausages into the orange mixture to coat; pour the sausages and sauce into an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until bubbly, 30 to 40 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the cornstarch and water to make a smooth paste.
  • Remove the sausages from the sauce with a slotted spoon and place into a serving dish. Pour the sauce into a saucepan.

4 c ketchup
1 1/2 c brown sugar, light
1 1/2 c bourbon
1 c warm water

  • 1. Combine all ingredients minus cocktail weiners. Stir well until sugars start to dissolve. Place in crockpot or large sauce pan stirring till heats ups.
  • 2. Tranfer all or in parts to fondue or chaffing dish. Gently add cocktail weiners and allow to simmer on Low until thoroughly heated. (About 30 minutes)
  • 3. Enjoy! Tip: You can heat all and simmer totally for the entire 30 minutes and then transfer to serving or chaffing dish to keep warm. Tip: I have made all up, adding the cocktail weiners and refrigerating until time for serving. Heat up in sauce pan and then trasfer to warming dish. Tip: You may also soak the weiners in the bourbon until ready to make! A little weiner with more kick!

PARTY FRANKS

Party Franks image

This is a very old sweet and sour cocktail recipe; I remember looking forward to it as a kid at my Mom's holiday parties. It will look horrible and smell worse when first in the pan, but just wait. Don't ever tell what's in the sauce until after your guests have tasted it (otherwise they'll never try it). Serve with toothpicks; keep warm with a fondue pot.

COCKTAIL WIENERS

Cocktail Wieners image

A sweet and savory treat for any get-together that will sure be a crowd pleaser. It's cheap and easy to make in a slow cooker with only three ingredients. I make this for any get-together and it is always a hit! I was a little unsure at first about the grape jelly concoction, but I tried it and have never done it any other way. It is so savory with just enough sweet. I always receive or over hear lots of agreement with the taste of the sauce. It always disappears at parties, and the next day I have cravings for these cocktail wienies. Try it for your next potluck, back yard BBQ, or any event!

DREMA'S ORANGE GLAZE COCKTAIL WEINERS

Drema's Orange Glaze Cocktail Weiners image

This little smokies recipe is perfect if you're looking for an easy appetizer. The sauce has everything in it - sweetness from the brown sugar, sour from the orange juice, and tanginess from the mustard. When the brown sugar melts into the orange juice it creates a superb glaze. These aren't your typical BBQ smokies. Thanks to...
