A sweet & savory sticky wing recipe made with Dr Pepper that is so scrumptious and delicious!

3 pounds fresh chicken wings (*You can use thawed out frozen wings as well)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
3 tablespoons butter (unsalted, cut into chunks)
12 ounces Dr Pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit.
  • In a large bowl, toss wings in spices, and soy sauce.
  • Line wings in a greased 9 x 13 baking sheet (Pyrex).
  • Add small pads of butter to the tops of the wings.
  • Pour the entire 12-ounces bottle of Dr Pepper soda evenly over wings.
  • Cook at 350° degrees Fahrenheit, for 90 mins turning wings every 30 mins. Wings will be a golden amber color when done.

12 chicken wings
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1 pinch garlic powder
1 pinch black pepper
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
12 ounces Dr. Pepper cola

Steps:

  • Marinate wings in sea salt, sugar, garlic powder, black pepper and one Tablespoons soy sauce for 30 minutes.
  • Cook wings on med heat until the sugar starts to brown.
  • Add one Tablespoons soy sauce, Red Pepper Flakes and Dr Pepper.
  • Turn heat up and cook until the liquid cooks down to a glaze and starts to brown.
  • Serve with favorite beverage.

2 lb chicken wings
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425˚F (220˚C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, olive oil, corn starch, pepper, and salt and toss with tongs to coat.
  • Transfer the wings to the baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Enjoy!

My son handed me this recipe and wanted me to try it. I don't know where the recipe came from, but I'm glad he sent this my way!

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 racks baby back ribs
1 (2 liter) bottle Dr. Pepper cola
1/4 cup salt
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon canola oil
1/2 medium onion, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Place the ribs in a large baking dish. Pour in Dr. Pepper and cover them, reserving at least 1/2 cup for the sauce. Add he salt and soak the ribs in fridge overnight (or at least 2 hours).
  • Heat the oven to 350°F Remove the ribs from the liquid, dry them, and rub with the chili powder. Place them on a baking dish, add 1 cup of water, and cover tightly with foil. Cook for 2 hours, until the meat nearly falls off the bone.
  • For BBQ Sauce: Heat the oil in saucepan over medium heat. Saute the onion and garlic until they're soft and fragrant and add the ketchup, Worcestershire, vinegar, cayenne and 1/2 cup of Dr. Pepper. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  • Fire up the grill, and brush the ribs with sauce. When the grill is hot, cook them bone side down on a cooler part for 10 to 15 minutes. Flip them and cook until lightly charred and smoky.
  • Remove and brush on more sauce.

  • Move the oven racks to the upper middle and lower middle positions. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil, and place a wire rack on top. Spray the wire rack lightly with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
  • While the wings are in the oven, make the wing sauce by adding Dr. Pepper, Buffalo wing sauce, and brown sugar to a medium saucepan. Heat over high heat until mixture comes to a boil. Continue to boil for 5 minutes, whisking every minute or so. Reduce heat until mixture reaches a low boil. Continue to cook for 15-20 minutes (stirring occasionally) until the mixture reduces by half.
  • Turn off the heat and let the sauce sit for 5 minutes. Add the wings to a large bowl. Pour sauce over, toss until well coated, and serve immediately!
