Number Of Ingredients 3
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Blitz the old-Fashioned rolled oats in a blender until you have a fine flour, or, alternatively, use oat flour instead. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, smash the peanut butter and ripe banana. And the oat flour and smash with a fork until the dough is thick and well combined. If it's crumbly, add 2-4 Tablespoons more peanut butter and recombine. You want the dough to be firm, sticky, and pliable
- Roll dough into a thin slab, about ~1/4 inch thick, and cut into shapes with a cookie cookie. Alternatively, you can roll them into ~1 Tablespoon balls and flatten with your hands for a simple circular cookie.
- Bake for ~15 minutes until lightly brown underneath. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before sampling or sharing with your pup!
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks!
BANANA AND PEANUT BUTTER DOG TREATS
While the title says dog treats, these treats can also double as a cake decoration or just human treats. I always have to fight off my younger siblings while making them or else there would be no dough left!

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
- Place mashed bananas in a bowl. Add peanut butter and flour and mix until thoroughly combined. If dough feels too sticky to handle, mix in more flour; do not exceed 2 tablespoons.
- Scoop a small amount of dough and place onto a lightly floured surface. Roll dough to an even thickness of your preference, rotating after each roll and adding flour as needed to avoid sticking. Dust cookie cutters lightly in flour. Cut dough into desired shapes and transfer to the prepared cookie sheet. Roll and cut remaining dough.
- Bake in batches in the preheated oven until golden brown and firm, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and lightly grease with cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mashed banana, egg, coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour into the dry ingredients, along with ⅓ cup of the walnuts. Stir until all the dry ingredients combined in the wet. The dough will be a bit sticky. ( If you find it to be too sticky to handle, you could scrape out the dough and add a touch of flour onto a clean counter and work the dough together until it’s cohesive with your hands.)
- Scrape out the dough with a rubber spatula onto a lined cookie sheet and divide dough in half. Spray hands with cooking spray; form each piece of dough into a 2 1/2-inch-wide (1/2-inch thick)log. Sprinkle on top of the logs the remaining almonds (or walnuts). Score the logs diagonally with a very sharp knife. This is mom’s biscotti baking pro top and will help to slice when they are baked. Bake until dough is firm but gives slightly when pressed, about 20-25 minutes.
