This delicious Ambrosia Salad is so easy to make and always a big hit with kids and adults alike! Made in just one bowl, this classic dessert salad is the perfection addition to your next gathering!

8 oz Cool Whip (, lite is fine)
1/2 cup sour cream (, light is fine)
11 oz mandarin oranges (drained)
20 oz crushed pineapple (drained)
10 oz maraschino cherries (drained, halved, and patted dry)
1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
2 cups miniature marshmallows
3/4 cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, cashews optional)

Steps:

  • Fold sour cream into Cool Whip in a large serving bowl.
  • Fold in remaining ingredients making sure the pineapple, oranges, and cherries have been properly drained.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving.

1 cup mini marshmallows
1 cup shredded or flaked coconut
1 cup canned pineapple, drained (tidbits, chunks or shredded)
1 cup canned mandarin oranges, drained
1 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • Gently mix all ingredients together.
  • Cover and refrigerate approximately 12 to 24 hours before serving.

Pomegranate Ambrosia Salad image

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 cup pecans
1/3 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest plus 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Pinch ground ancho chile powder
Kosher salt
2 1/2 cups chopped fresh pineapple
Two 11-ounce cans mandarin oranges, drained and rinsed
3/4 cup pomegranate seeds
2/3 cup mini marshmallows
1/2 cup unsweetened flaked coconut

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and bake until lightly toasted, about 7 minutes. Cool completely, then very roughly chop.
  • Mix the sour cream, heavy cream, lemon zest and juice together in a large bowl along with the ancho powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Add the pineapple, oranges, pomegranate, marshmallows, coconut and pecans and toss to combine. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

1 can (8 ounces) pineapple tidbits, drained
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the oranges, pineapple, marshmallows and coconut. Add sour cream and toss to mix. Cover and refrigerate for several hours.

When I was a girl my grandma from New Orleans would make this, and it stuck with me!!The ingredients are simple, but it is far greater than the sum of its parts. Add pistachios for an extra crunch (and extra protein,haha ;P).

3/4 Cup c heavy cream (chilled)
1/4 c powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 Cup c sour cream
4 Cups c mini marshmallows either regular or fruit-flavored ones like the colored ones
1 1/2 c shredded coconut
11 oz mandarin oranges, drain well
3/4 cups c marachino cherries (no stems!!)
1 c pineapple tidbits

Steps:

  • 1. Mix Sour Cream, Whipping Cream, Vanilla well.
  • 2. Add fruit and marshmallow ingredients
  • 3. Add powder sugar and mix well
  • 4. Refridgerate well after mixing.
  • 5. Serve to your love ones!
