DEEP-FRIED STICKY RIBS RECIPE BY TASTY

Steps:
- In a large bowl, prepare marinade - mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, Sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper, and the ribs.
- Marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Preheat oven to 275˚F (190˚C).
- Bake ribs on a baking sheet for 30 minutes.
- Make the sticky sauce in a saucepan by combining soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and honey. Bring to a low boil, reduce heat, and simmer until sauce has thickened, about 30 minutes.
- Heat oil for frying to 350˚F (180˚C).
- Place ribs into the oil a few at a time and fry for 4 minutes, flipping them occasionally. Drain on a paper towel.
- Toss fried ribs in the sticky sauce and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and green onions.
- Enjoy!

CRISPY FILIPINO-STYLE FRIED SPARERIBS RECIPE
What's better than spareribs? How about Filipino-style deep-fried spareribs. First marinated with garlic and vinegar, then deep fried until browned and crisp, they're an addictive plate of pork.

Steps:
- In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, pepper, oyster sauce, mustard, and 1 teaspoon salt.
- Place rib pieces in a large zipper-lock bag. Pour in marinade, seal tightly, and toss to distribute marinade evenly. Place in refrigerator and marinate for at least 4 hours or up to overnight, turning bag at least once during that time.
- Fill a wok or Dutch oven at least 4 inches deep with oil and heat to 375°F (190°C) over high heat. Working in batches, transfer 1/3 of ribs to a medium bowl (they should be wet and dripping with marinade), add 2 tablespoons cornstarch, and toss until ribs are evenly coated in a sticky, paste-like batter.
- Carefully lower ribs, one at a time, into hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally for even cooking. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and season lightly with salt. Repeat with remaining ribs. Serve immediately with vinegar for dipping.

- 1. Prepare a sweet-and-pungent sauce (search for " Category: Sweet-and-Pungent Sauces"). 2. Cut ribs apart then with a cleaver, chop each, bone and all, in 1-inch sections. 3. Place ribs in a pan with cold water to cover. Bring to a boil, then simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes. Drain, discarding liquid. Let ribs cool. 4. Combine cornstarch and soy sauce. Gradually stir in enough water to make a smooth batter. Dip rib sections in batter to coat. 5. Heat oil to smoking. Add ribs a few at a time. Reduce heat slightly and deep-fry until golden. SWEET-AND-PUNGENT SAUCE II

- 1. Mince garlic. Slice, dice or sliver vegetables. 2. Combine sugar, vinegar, water and soy sauce. 3. Heat oil. Add garlic and stir-fry a few times. Add vegetables stir-fry until slightly softened (2 to 3 minutes). 4. Add sugar-vinegar mixture. Stir in over medium heat to dissolve and heat through. 5. Meanwhile blend cornstarch and remaining cold water to a paste then stir in to thicken. Pour over deep-fried meat or fish and serve. NOTE: For the vegetables, use any of the following in any combination: bamboo shoots, carrots, cucumbers, green peas, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, pickles and snow peas. You may also add, at the end of step 4, fresh tomatoes or canned pineapple chunks, lichees or crab apples. For typical combinations, see Sweet-And-Pungent Sauce Combinations.VARIATIONS: * For the garlic, substitute 2 slices fresh ginger root and 1 scallion stalk, both minced. * For the oil, substitute chicken fat or lard. * For the sugar, use brown sugar or honey. * For the vinegar, use cider vinegar. * For the soy sauce, use heavy soy sauce. * For the water in step 1, substitute stock.
