PECAN SQUARES
If you like pecan pie, you're sure to love these bars. They don't last very long at my house.

Steps:
- In a small bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar. Gradually add flour, mixing until blended. Pat into an ungreased 9-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350° for 20-22 minutes or until golden., In another small bowl, beat the eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt until smooth. Pour over crust; sprinkle with pecans. Bake 40-45 minutes longer or until set. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

DECADENT BUTTER PECAN BARS
Once you have made these and eaten some, you will always want to keep this recipe on hand! These bars taste almost exactly like Pecan Pie! So simple to make, your kids can help you make them! They are also VERY appropriate to make during the holidays! Perfect in fact!

- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 X 8 inch pan. In a medium sized bowl, cream together the softened butter and the white & lt. brown sugars. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour and pecans until just blended. Spread mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
- 2. Bake at 350 degrees 40-45 minutes. Edges should start to pull away from sides of the pan. Allow the pan to cool before cutting the bars (or cut into squares).
- 3. These freeze well, so make up a few batches and keep them in the freezer so you can have some at a moment's notice! Bon Apetit' Y'all!
DECADENT PECAN SQUARES
Delicious pecan squares from Ina, flavored with honey and citrus zest. Dip the ends in chocolate to make it over the top!

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- For the crust, beat the butter and granulated sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, until light, approximately 3 minutes. Add the eggs and the vanilla and mix well. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix the dry ingredients into the batter with the mixer on low speed until just combined. Press the dough evenly into an ungreased 18 by 12 by 1-inch baking sheet, making an edge around the outside. It will be very sticky; sprinkle the dough and your hands lightly with flour. Bake for 15 minutes, until the crust is set but not browned. Allow to cool.
- For the topping, combine the butter, honey, brown sugar, and zests in a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan. Cook over low heat until the butter is melted, using a wooden spoon to stir. Raise the heat and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat. Stir in the heavy cream and pecans. Pour over the crust, trying not to get the filling between the crust and the pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the filling is set. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until cold. Cut into bars. You can also heat up some chocolate in a double boiler and dip in just the ends and set them on wax paper to cool. If I am making them for someone, I alternately dip them in dark chocolate and white chocolate for a pretty presentation.
