Chocolate Chip Cookies with Truvia® Baking Blend image

The classic chocolate chip cookie has been a family favorite for generations. This easy-to-make recipe with Truvia® Baking Blend has 60% less sugar* than the full sugar version.

1 ⅛ cups flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup butter, softened
¼ cup Truvia® Baking Blend, plus
2 tablespoons Truvia® Baking Blend
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 large egg
1 cup chocolate chips
½ tablespoon molasses (see note)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Combine flour, salt and baking soda in a small bowl.
  • Beat butter, Truvia® Baking Blend and vanilla (and optional molasses) in a separate large mixing bowl. Mix in egg.
  • Gradually stir in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons on cookie sheets and press down to slightly flatten.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned.

1 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup Truvía™ Baking Blend
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 egg
1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon Truvía™ Baking Blend
3 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325° F.
  • In medium bowl, mix flour, cocoa and baking soda; set aside.
  • In large bowl, beat butter, 1/2 cup Truvia® Baking Blend, vanilla and egg with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Press down slightly.
  • Bake 13 to 15 minutes or just until set. Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in small bowl, beat 1 tablespoon Truvia® Baking Blend and water. Brush over cookies (discard any remaining water mixture); sprinkle with salt.
